The weather

We actually got through it without power outage, a first in my neighborhood. So many though by the beaches and coast had so much flooding.
I pray there weren't many people hurt, it was pretty scary for a while. I had some broken window panes and many tree limbs cover my yard, but I'm grateful if that is it.

Glad to hear both your areas fared ok, and the worst is over. And that you both have power!

Yes, that's good! I was worried after hearing the news, like 8.5 million homes without power and all!

And wow, I've heard so far 38 are dead, mostly from downed trees.

Thank God, we still have power. I thought, the power was going out, during the night. But, never did.

Glad to hear you weren't hit too hard, Krissy. Gosh, it just breaks my heart to see the devastation in NYC and surrounding areas. Sure does make you count your lucky stars.

Me too...Same here

in the town that I live, a little over 50% of the homes are still without power from the storm, and we're one of them. But we have plenty of batteries, candles, and we filled a few buckets with water. After Hurricane Irene and the October snowstorm last year (both of which we lost power for almost a week) I'm used to not having power, so it's not so bad this time

I hope everyone else is safe after the storm!! it was certainly scary to see it hit us.

We had nothing. Just rain for the past few days. But it rains almost every day where I am from.

My heart breaks for those on NY, NJ, and all the other places that got hit bad. My relatives near Philly just had a power outage.

So sorry to hear you are without power, Kristina. Sounds like you have a good attitude about it and are faring well. Hope it comes back soon.

Like you, Beckie, I'm so saddened by the devastation and losses. 70 people that we know of perished. I can't believe some of these pictures I'm seeing....it's going to be a long recovery.

Nice day, just windy outside. Tomorrow rain & chilly. Tuesday cold weather only up to 38 degrees. Mostly cloudy. See how Michigan weather is crazy. warm today, chilly tomorrow.
