Just thought I'd share my news with you guys. My friend Chrissie and I will be running the New York Marathon on Sunday 4th November! I can't wait! Well I can wait for the run but I can't wait to visit New York again after such a long time!

We arrive on Thursday 1st November and will be staying for a week. After the Marathon we plan on doing a bit of Christmas shopping (if we can still walk!!) and maybe take in a tour of New York and Washington DC.

We've kept up the training since the Belfast City Marathon and hope to complete our second marathon, no matter how long it takes!

That's great news Maureen! I'm excited for you. You said you would be seeing NY again, so have you run the NY Marathon before?

I really think it's great that you can do something like that. Me, I get a leg cramp doing Pilates. LOL!

Good luck and make sure you let us know how the two of you did.

No, Cheryl, I haven't ran the NY Marathon before. My first Marathon was in Belfast in May! I have been to New York though but it was a lot of years ago and I loved every minute of it.

I just hope I'll be fit for a bit of retail therapy after the run!
