Did anyone here about this? My heart sank when I read this because Matt lives in NYC. I don't know how near or far he lives from this. I hope he is okay. :unsure: Please pray that he is and also pray for those effected by this tragedy.

Yes, I heard about it. It is such a heartbreaking tragedy. My prayers go out to all of those affected.

What a tragedy that was. It was confirmed that 6 construction workers killed and 1 lady from Florida came here for St. Patrick's parade, got killed also. I remembered one part that I read from the paper yesterday that gave me such a big lump in my throat, was from a guy that said, he was in his daughter's room, when the crane was falling, he actually saw the 2 construction workers inside the crane screamming, falling passing his daughter's window, he saw their doomed faces. It was such a helpless feeling at that moment.

Marilyn, the accident happened in the city (Manhattan), I'm in Queens, so I'm no where near the site. My prayers go out to all the loved ones of the deceased.

They arrested the city inspector for falsifying records. He did not do the inspections he claimed to have done, then had to clean up the records so it looks like he did. He's only going to get four years in jail.

I can't believe he got only four years? I wonder how many years he really will serve? I agree that he should be charged with manslaughter.

That is so unfair he should be in jail for at least 25 years if not for Life time
