Prayers for my Dad, please.

Wednesday night was the beginning of a very difficult time for my family - my Dad in particular. He's coming to the end of a battle with cancer, and his body is losing the fight. His spirit is so unconquered! His faith is strong, and he's been incredibly brave through all of this. . . but his body can't hold on for much longer. Please pray for him, that his passing will be gentle and peaceful. At this point we know that he isn't going to win the battle against cancer. . . We just don't want him to suffer. They're able to keep him comfortable where pain is concerned, but he struggles so much for each breath. It's so hard to watch someone you love go through this and not be able to help. Thank you for your prayers, my friends.

I'm so sorry this dreadful disease is taking yet another loved one from their family. I'm glad that he is comfortable so far, and pray he continues to be. I'm also glad that he has such a loving family around him letting him know just how much he is loved.

Thank you for the prayers for my precious dad. He passed early this morning, shortly after midnight. We had prayed that he would be able to pass quietly, without pain...and that was exactly how he passed. My family and I are all so thankful for your prayers, and I'm so thankful for your friendship as well.

Sweet Savannah, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how difficult it is to have to say goodbye to a parent. And that stupid cancer may have beaten his (and my mom's) earthly bodies but just think of him holding hands with Jesus right now. One thing that was a comfort to me was the song I CAN ONLY IMAGINE. Your dad doesn't have to imagine any more, he knows firsthand everything in that song. It is a comfort to know that he is at peace.

Dad's home-going service is today at noon. It still doesn't seem real. I feel like I'm going to walk downstairs, and see him sitting in his chair reading his Bible. Thank you all so much for your kind words, your cards, your prayers. . . I'm blessed with dear, thoughtful friends. loveheart

Oh Savannah, I'm so sorry I didn't see this thread sooner :( but I am so sorry for your loss, and I am praying for peace for you and your family during this difficult time. I pray also that you find comfort in knowing his passing was peaceful and he is finally resting comfortably now.
