I am using the patch but it keeps falling off!

Either way...I'll never smoke another cigarette again, even if the patch doesn't work for me!!!

Thanks everyone for the support. Smoking is one of the nastiest habits out there and one of the stupidest habits to start. If I could go back and change anything...that would be it!

I smoked my last cigarette on Aug. 14, 1994. Within a week, I didn't miss them at all. Still don't. You'll do just fine.

It's going well. The first 3 days were the worst, but yesterday and this morning so far are easier.

I intend to quit, but I've given up so many bad habits lately, if I try one more this soon my body's liable to rebel on me. It'd be easier if the wife didn't smoke. Last time I was in the hospital, I didn't smoke for a week, and came out feeling fine about it. But, being around another smoker, it's hard to do. So, when I do quit, we'll have to quit together.

I'm amazed at how costly cigarettes are these days. One of my reasons for quitting back in '94 was the expense - a carton cost $18. That was a lot. But now it's what, about $50?

I still remember when I first started smoking. I'd go into the store, put a dollar on the counter, and walk out with two packs of cigs. And maybe a pint of booze if the clerk wasn't paying attention. :sillySmiley:

I hear what you're saying about it being hard to quit when someone around you is smoking Larry.
My husband doesn't smoke, but my sister does and we spend alot of time together.
Makes it difficult.
