That is true. I just give one candy pure child. That why it last longer.

 That reminds me of the years I've been too cheap to get the 'good' candy, and basically have suckers and smarties and tootsie rolls.  The little kids---THRILLED to get them.  The teens---not so much! 

LOL..Boo on the teens. They can buy theire own candy lol


I've noticed that the stores have tons of Halloween candy left over. The prices are not much off. Seems not worth it to buy. They don't mark down the boxed candy at all. Wal-Mart seems to send the candy back to the company.

Better to buy full size candy from the dollar store.

Well, they lived in town, but still...  

I got ZERO kids! That hasn't happened for a lot of years. It was very cold and windy here, so that probably had something to do with it.

Hay for Halloween i was obviously Laura aka Melissa Gilbert. It was a mix between season 1 and 6. Next year i might be an Indian also Laura from the Halloween dream.

So what was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?  As a young'n in the '60s, one of my favorite TV shows was "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," and one year I went as secret agent Illya Kuryakin.  Yes, I actually grew my hair that long.  Can you imagine??  Everyone thought I was trying to be a Beatle.

As a child, we had store-bought costumes, and I can't really say any of them were my favorites...My first (real) job after high school and while going to college was at a preschool and I knew I wanted something fun and homemade...so, I made this Raggedy Ann costume...This picture was taken last year, so...the costume is 40+ years old...My grandson, Wyatt, LOVED seeing his Grammy dressed silly and with a different color of 'red' hair...I also have a witch costume; green face and all, but only a blurry picture of a picture...

I love it!
