Actor Donald Sutherland has passed away at age 88. He was born in 1935 in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, and nearly entered a career as an engineer before he decided to pursue acting.
Sutherland was well known for his roles as Hawkeye Pierce in the 1970 movie MASH, Calvin Jarrett in the 1980 movie Ordinary People, and as President Snow in the Hunger Games movie franchise, beginning in 2012.
