I had the same situation, Emily. I could have graduated a year and a half early, but my parents didn't think that it would be the best for me to do that. I didn't fight them over it, but I didn't completely see the wisdom in it, either. Looking back, though, I can understand their decision, and am glad for it. And I LOVE Etymology! | |

| Wow you all have such cool subjects at school! I graduated High School last year and in the Netherlands it is called VWO (pre-university education). I graduated for the following subjects: Economics, History, Dutch, English, French, German, Math, Biology, Geometry and Social Science. I hated Math and Economics, I'm not that good with numbers I guess, loved the languages though, that's why I study English Language & Culture at the university of Leiden now |

| I am hoping to do Botany, World Lit., American History, Choras or Jazz Choir, and Early Elementary Childhood Education next year. Sometimes life throws you under the bus. You gotta hold on for dear life. Don't waste one single day. ============================================================================================== I wonder how I find myself with the greatest boy ever! <3 He loves me in spite of my issues. | |

| got my class schedule for junior year! I'm not sure if I'm excited or not, but I do have a few good classes: Algebra 2, English 11 (my 3rd year in a row with the same English teacher), Foods 1, Creative Writing, Black & White Photo, Graphics 1, Physical Science, and a few other classes. my school is switching from 4 periods a day to 7 next year so I'll have a few more classes next year | |

| Interesting! It sounds like a good system. My nephew's high school runs on trimesters, and even the academic classes change with each trimester. I don't feel like that segment of time is enough to get a thorough grasp of the concepts, myself - but the school administrators feel that it's something that they want to try. | |

| well its worth a try! right now with my school's schedule, academics run half a year, but we half 4 80-minute classes a day, so I guess the time covered in one semester equals what it would cover in a whole year if the classes were shorter. but next year we're going to 7 45-minute classes a day so thats why academics are going to run all year | |

| I know this is kinda a old topic, but I'm really excited about almost being done with high school!! I have to do these before I am DONE (!!!!!!! ) with high school. (Do I sound excited???) But I guess to quote Ma, "If we're wise we don't stop learning 'till the Lord calls us home." I actually have some things I really want to study up on that interest me, but I'm waiting until I finish my 'school' work before I start. Algebra 1 & 2 (Alot I know! lol) Chemistry and Physics Latin (using Rosetta Stone. Mama wanted me to learn Latin. ) English 2 Pretty big subjects but I really enjoy Chemistry and Physics, and Latin is ok..(shh....don't tell my Mom! lol) I'm not a big English fan but it's alright, and math I hate!! But I don't mind it as much as I used to. So that's what I have to do before I finish up. I already have everything else under my belt, so to speak. ~ Home is the nicest word there is ~ | |

| I'm taking classes through an online college that has 8-week terms instead of the regular 16-week semesters, so I'm already halfway through my first 'semester' with the college. This term I'm taking one course, Intro to Sociology, and next term I'm taking a Shakespeare literature course and Intro to Humanities. | |
