I love the show. I watch it as I can. I have 7 kids and 1 on the way! (due in august, next month) But I think that the media needs to leave the family alone. It's quite sad when this family started out by loving each other at the begining and now.. I mean I cant say how bad this family is now.. by from the media.. poor kids.
I saw on a J&K+8 board Im on, that Jon had a new girlfriend. There were rumors going around that Deanna Hummel was going to be on the show in the fall, but I guess Jon and her aren't together anymore. And now Jon and this new girl are dating.. here's a link: http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/07/exclusive-jon-gosselin-takes-girlfriend-france-and-hes-working-business-deal-her So now there are rumors that this girlfriend will be on the show.. I think that its Jon's fault for getting divorced.. He was clubbing and such, found a girlfriend.. and that led to Kate 'dating' their bodyguard. (which I dont think it's ture.. Im just saying in case it is). So I hope they keep going but not too far. Jon, Kate, and the kids have gone through so much. But the media needs to stop. I hope they keep going, but for the sake of the family, not the free stuff and money, just for their family.. Also, their family needs to get off the magazines.. I'd be mad, trying to tell my 7 kids that yep, we're on a magazine..Because id have to tell them each time we went.. But when we go grocery shopping I havent seen that much of the family.. and they arent the top story anymore they're the sub stories.. Im starting not to watch it as much, for all the show is, is the family on other tv shows, that are not the greatest. I'd watch it a ton more if it was just things at their house and outings but not on other tv shows.

Jon is dating the daughter of the plastic surgeon that performed Kate's tummy tuck. I've seen the pics of them together, vacationing in France. The whole situation is quite sad. I heard in an interview that his previous girlfriend would not be included on the show, so hopefully this will stay the same for his "new" girlfriend.

yes, I hope so too that the new girlfriend wont be on the show, too. That would be awful.

LOL! Did you like that, Rob? I should have just said that he's dating the daughter of Kate's plastic surgeon. I had just heard a reporter on TV mention the tummy tuck part, so I was actually quoting someone else. LOL!!

Oh boy, now that the media has calmed down on Michael Jackson, they can go back to bugging Jon and Kate. I'm so sick of hearing about them.

It seems when they print something about one of them someone has to print something worse about the other one. I only saw a few episodes of the show.
Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

And you know, this has become quite the soap opera. Just goes to show how immature Jon is, hopping from one woman to the next. I still think there was a TON they could have done to at least TRY to fix this mess, but they are just both too self absorbed. Those poor kids.
And yes Marilyn, I was thinking the same thing....everything was all about MJ for awhile, now the media will need some more excitement again, so they'll dredge all this stuff back up. It's sickening really.

You know what's upsetting about that? This is something that we'll all forget about eventually---heck, I already have. But their poor children will have that to remember for LIFE. Their own father is going on TV to rake their mother over the coals. They're little kids right now, but eventually they're going to grow up, and this little piece of tape will be there for life. Do you think they'll care that he was humiliated by the media? No. They'll only care that he wasn't a big enough man to walk away from what everyone is saying about him, for the sake of his children. No matter what Kate has done, or how he justifies his infidelity, she is still the mother of his children, and he should have respect for at least that. You hurt her, you hurt the children, plain and simple.

Well said, Amy!! I thought that both Jon and Kate were going to "stay away" from the media and not do anymore "big" TV interviews? So much for that.................
In a week, Kate is going to be a guest host on the View. I think it's next Mon. and Tues. Whatever!

You're such a wise lady. If only all parents would think like that, Amy.
As for the program......I'm not in the least bit interested in listening to either one of them whine, gossip, complain, groan and moan. And I have no desire to hear about how awful they think the other person is...while they ignore their own responsiblity in what has taken place. Both of them ought to be ashamed of what they're intentionally putting their children through. They could quietly go about the business of sorting out their private affairs, but they're choosing to drag their children through all of this on national television for all of their friends (and millions of strangers) to see...and it isn't right.

Thank you Savannah. :shy: (and thank you Teresa too. )....you know, I think it all comes down to what kind of morals and values people have grown up with. This is just a 'no-brainer' to some of us, who have grown up in a Christian atmosphere, surrounded by family love and parental guidance, with "Little House" worthy examples to live by. Not to be a total pessimist, but I think these two really do represent how this society is going (and has been going) downhill. It should be a parent's main concern to get their kids through life without being 'screwed up', you know? And what I witness more often than not is parental selfishness. Just sickening.
Anyway, I'm with you Savannah....I am not interested in hearing a thing either of them have to say anymore---I am not even tempted to pick up a magazine with them on the cover, and I'm not tempted to watch Jon tonight either. And needless to say, I really hope this show goes down the tubes.

This might come true sooner than you thought!
Jon has been cut from the show because of his stupid behavior. Now Jon says the kids are being exploited and doesn't want them filmed... and now TLC has suspended the show.
I don't buy it! John is just upset because he got fired... it's so weird how all of a sudden he thinks his kids are being exploited... right Jon!

Kate could run and redeem this show if she would totally leave Jon out of it. I really wish she would let it go, but I don't believe she will. She could make this into a gathering of single moms and how they cope with raising a house full of kids. Their strengths, how they help one another as well as their goals and how they conqure them. Right now its a soap opera, and that is not the legacy those kids need in their family library of videos.

I read where, starting November 2nd, the show will be called, "Kate Plus 8." They didn't fire Jon, but he won't be appearing in many of the episodes, just a select few.

Well, JON doesn't rhyme with 8 anyway.SO Kate plus 8 works. They really should have come up with something different though.

Talk about a sad comment on society.
I heard Kathie Lee Gifford say that Kate said "It's called a paycheck", when Kathie Lee said she should get out of the show. Um, perhaps they should never have put themselves in the lifestyles of the rich and famous and they wouldn't need it so badly! I've heard ratings are at an all time low....I can't say I'm sorry to hear that.

And by this time shouldn't they have money put aside to live on for awhile? The show was hugely successful and even with the kids' futures secure they should have plenty left. Of course they have been spending like crazy!

They should have plenty of money, but it's like they had a little taste of success and went absolutely crazy. Not that they shouldn't have moved from their cape cod, but they didn't need to move up that far.
By the way, I thought that cape cod was adorable. And for the record, I think huge homes are overated. (LOL, I'm probably saying that because we're kind of 'stuck' in our smaller two story because of the housing market, but seriously...there is a 'bonding' that occurs when you don't have your kids scattered all over of the place in some humongous house. My parents' good friends had 9 kids, NINE kids, and lived in a modest home (probably even smaller than Jon & Kate's old cape cod), all the years that their kids were growing up. It's just that we live in such a 'bigger is better' society nowadays, and that's kind of sad.

Does anyone watch the Bonnie Hunt Show? It's a GREAT talk show and the only one I watch when I can. She is witty and down to earth and everyone loves her. Her show is being cancelled, and rumor has it that they're putting Kate Gosselin in her place. Are you kidding me?! WHO is going to watch her???? Hasn't it been made clear that people can't stand Kate??? I just don't get it.
