A Phone Call Empty
PostSubject: A Phone Call   A Phone Call EmptySun Jan 20, 2008 3:24 pm

I received a phone call yesterday. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Hello?

Caller: Hey, what's up, whatcha doing?

Me: Just doing laundry. What are you doing?

Caller: I just got up a little while ago. Hey, were you able to get that number for me?

Me: Huh? *Pulse* Uhhh...who's this?

Caller: Oh my God! I got the wrong number. OhMy

Me: ROTFL

Caller: I'm so sorry. ROTFL

Me: It's ok. Nice talking to you though. ROTFL

Caller: Same here. ROTFL

As we were hanging up our phones, we were still cracking up. :Hahaha: :Hahaha:

ROTFL It's so funny when something like that happens! My mom answered a phone call once, and she said "hello". The guy on the other end said, "Hi, honey, how you doin'"? to which she replied, "Good...but I'm pretty sure you've got the wrong number". ROTFL

What would have been really funny is if she had asked ..."what kind of fabric softner do you use?"

If she had asked what kind of fabric softner I was using, I would've told her and the conversation would've lasted much longer. Huh? :Hahaha:

This had happened to me once before. An elderly lady wanted to call her daughter, but somehow always misdialed her number and called me instead. I assumed her daughter's number and mine are somewhere within 2 numbers switched around or something. She would always called and tell her to come and eat dinner. After a couple of times, we learned each other's names (her name was Mary), we would chit chat a bit before hanging up. This went on for about almost 2 years. Our last phone call was a day before Easter, she even wished me a Happy Easter before we hung up. About a year later, the daughter called me and informed me that her mother had passed away. She found my number in her mom's phone book, she had written down my name and a little note saying that she got my number by mistake.

That is such a sweet story, Lily. It sounds like she enjoyed your conversations.
