LOST

Any LOST fans out there? They finally started back up again last night and WOW, was it an intense pemiere!! Such an awesome show and I'm hooked already! We bought season 3 on dvd, so I was able to go through and prepare for the season premiere. I like that they're starting to show 'flash-forwards' instead of flash-backs now...keeps the show from becoming stagnant. Can't wait for next week!!

Amy, I watched the first few episodes of Lost during the first season. Then for some reason I missed a couple weeks and never watched it again. I guess I figured I'd never be able to catch up with the plot. That weird animal they used to show flashes of... did they ever say what it was?

It's been a long time since I've seen season 1, but I think you mean the polar bear? LOL! Or it could be the wild boar. Not sure. There's now 'evil' black smoke that can kill people too.

Jacob & Rob, I want to say that you could still get into this show if you wanted to pick it up. It IS a show that rewards continual viewing...only avid watchers will be able to pick up on some of the clues, but you can still 'get it' if you pick up now. Up until this season, they've shown 'flashbacks' of the survivors lives. Now this season they are doing 'flash-forwards'...you're seeing what will happen to the people who actually get off the island. The island has some kind of 'hold' over everyone and the ones who left now know that they need to go BACK, otherwise their lives will be miserable elsewhere. It's definitely interesting!

Musta been one of them there tropical polar bears we're always hearing so much about on the National Geographic channel.

I know what you mean Beckie...when they originally focused on "The Others" I had a hard time focusing on it, even my hubby had a hard time with it and he is a die-hard fan. But then it picked up again, big-time. I'm actually enjoying it more now than ever before! But I can imagine they lost a lot of viewers with the first introduction of The Others and the changing focus of the show. The actors are just SO good...I think they make it all just very believeable. Ahem, even the 'tropical polar bears'!

Oh no!! Jack or Kate?!?! OMG...there goes the show! I love the whole Jack/Kate/ Sawyer triangle...Sawyer's my guy---I tend to go for the bad boys.

The season premiere had HUGE ratings so it's far from 'done in', thank GOD! I really love this show...it's the only thing I watch besides Surivor and American Idol. Actually, season 3 was great because they didn't have any reruns. They're taking many months off between seasons, so as to avoid having to show repeats, which I think works a lot better. I was going crazy with season 2 where they'd have 1 new show, then 2 repeats, and so on. The only problem is I'm sure people forget between seasons, but they do re-caps from the previous season so it's not too hard to get caught up.

I love LOST!!! I agree with you, Amy, about Sawyer. This season has been the most confusing of them all and I can't wait for the new episodes end of this month.
