Wanna go out?

I've been staying indoors all day today, because it's COLD out. It's zero, with a 30 degree below zero wind chill. Which is balmy compared to Jacob's temps - but still downright chilly! The wind is blowing the snow so hard that the police have issued a request for people to stay off the roads unless it's absolutely necessary......And with having gotten twenty inches of snow last week, there's plenty of snow for the wind to blow!

So.....I just got a phone call from someone asking me if I wanted to go out and about this afternoon. Ummm........No. I would rather stay toasty warm indoors, thank you very much.

What's the weather where you are?

Similar to you, except a might bit warmer. It's -3*F (-19C) and feels like -26* (-32C).

On the way to church this morning, my family and I had to wait about three minutes for the plower to plow a completely drifted road. The drift was about three feet deep. OhMy

EtA: duh! I guess the temp is warmer where you are, but the windchill is higher. I can't read.

Here in Minneapolis the windchill is about 40 below. The wind has been howling since last night. My husband and daughter are out of town until Tuesday. Our driveway had a couple of huge drifts from the blowing snow. My neighbor's wonderfully nice husband just came over and snow blowed our driveway. They had noticed the drifts, and knew that my son and I were here alone. Luckily we're supposed to creep back into the 20's in a couple of days. For now, Shane and I won't be going anywhere. We are in "hunker down" mode. LOL!

61º here........I guess we are having a heatwave........ :unsure: Supposed to have rain, ice and sleet come Monday evening....

last time i was out side was late in the morning was too cold to go to church hey guy's i beat ya again with the temptuers it is 48 below zero :idance: lol

It's 44, but the windchill makes it feel like 30. It's still a heat wave compare to you guys.

Well, our windchill warmed up to 26 below now. Like it makes that much of a difference? 40 below, 30 below, 20 below.....................It's still cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's snowing here now, but since it's so windy today, it's snowing sideways. It has gotten so dark, we just had the bright sunlight few minutes ago (from my last post).

It's 17 here, but with the wind and snow blowing around, it feels even colder! I just checked the weather online, and it says that it feels like 1. I believe it! My mom and I went to Wal-Mart earlier and got caught in what seemed like a blizzard. It wasn't snowing that hard, but with the wind, we could hardly see. The roads were icy and we were sliding all over the place. But we made it to the store and back in one piece.

I just got a text from my cousin who has been driving in a snowstorm for the last 10 hours and they have a ways to go yet. It is nasty here in Ontario. I went to church and then have spent the rest of the day inside trying to get rid of a headache. I can always tell when the weather is going to be nasty, aren't I lucky.

Yes Rob I have been thinking about mexico a lot lol It was soo much warmer there here it is 35 Below Zero now If we make it through Febuary Then we'll be alright lol :Hahaha:

We had the same bitter cold weather here. Kelsey and I had to go to a baby shower that afternoon. Had I not already committed to going, I would have definitely stayed home that day!
