I think you're thinking of "The Lost Ones" (part 2), where the Tompkins family wanted to adopt both James & Cassandra. However, that definitely didn't work out so they stayed with the Ingalls. The following season their Uncle Jed fought to get custody of them and won, but he changed his mind and let them stay with the Ingalls when he realized he was too ill and had to move to a warmer climate.

Yes that's what I was thinking of! I remember in The Lost Ones the couple who wanted to adopt James and Cassandra were real mean to them. I have only seen that episode once I think and it has been a while

Oh the lobster...that's an inside joke! LOL I've been bugging Dave about that because he said he'd buy me lunch if I get an answer right. So I jokingly told him I want lobster! That's why he also put up that fake credit card so I can use it. By the way, I've been craving lobster ever since!

They where not injured on camera and its very well hidden and not part of the plot but in real life!

I think it was Katherine MacGregor, though I forgot how she was injured. I think this is the episode where Ruth Foster had to 'stand in' for her (but only from behind).

No It was an actress who in real life injured herself but still filmed little house on the prairie even tho she had an injury but they managed to film it and hide the injury.

Oh wait, Duh! Alison Arngrim wrote in her book that she actually got injured right before she was supposed to film "Bunny." Since she was supposed to fall off her horse in the episode anyway, they just went ahead and wrote her broken arm into the show (they even made a special 1800's type cast for her). I can't believe I forgot about that!

Ok Julmer70 you almost had it!

It was Alison Arngrim.

She broke her leg just before filming the race scene and was advised by her doctor not to film however Alison had been looking forward to filming this scene and didn't want to let anyone down so they hardly ever filmed on the right side of the horse as they used her dress to hide the cast.

As Nelly is screaming while riding down the hill in her wheelchair, modern dental devices can be seen on her teeth!
