| You are in my prayers, Jon. It's very hard to find a job nowadays, but you'll get it. I'm sure of it!

| Just wanted to post a brief update, since I said I'd let everybody know what happens regarding my search for employment.
I was offered and accepted a position with the state last Friday, which is great news because my unemployment only had about another four weeks left on it. It's got a decent starting salary and a nice benefits package. I begin to work come July 1, and will do the whole meet and greet with my new office and all that fun jazz. In other words, I get to finally relax for a few days.
Anyway, I am most satisfied with this as I am now able to afford more than Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches! Mmmm... expensive food, here I come!
I'm throwing a party and you're all invited! (as long as you don't eat my food, of course)
A big thank you to everybody who said a prayer my way! "Only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain."

| Congratulations, Jon!! I'm so glad that you found a job that you feel will be a good "fit" for you. I wish you the best of luck! When I come over later for your party, I'll bring some lasagna for you. I'll throw in some brownies and cookies as well. LOL!!!! | |

| That is wonderful news, Jon!! I'm so glad that it came at just the right time, and now you can relax and enjoy the rest of the time you have off, knowing that you do indeed have a great job! I can remember peanut butter and jelly sandwich days. And ramen noodles. Can't forget those! | |

| Thank you, everybody!
Christina, indeed I shall! I look at it as though I'm having an eleven day vacation before the job starts. Also gives me time to get the car serviced, get another haircut, schedule an eye doctor appointment, etc... all that stuff I won't be able to immediately take time off for once it starts.
Rhonda, I relinquish my grip on the luck. It is all yours, my friend. And I will send it via overnight shipping.
Lily and Teresa, you two are welcome to visit my humble home anytime you wish! lol
Pam, didn't have much ramen noodles during my search. But I do now intend to visit the most expensive Italian restaurant I can find... order the most expensive dish on the menu... and give the most generous tip I have ever given in my life. I'll save that for the weekend, of course. "Only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain."

Jon left out the phrase "and then crawl out the bathroom window before the waiter brings the check." Congrats on the job, Coach!

That is going to be the best meal you ever had too! I remember when Tim (hubby), was laid off for several months and we had spent a long time eating anything cheap, hotdogs, mac 'n cheese, chicken legs, that even McDonald's, at that point, would have tasted great. So, that first meal out at a nice restaurant was so good. I know I enjoyed every bite!

| Jacob, I wouldn't dare forget about you guys. I'll be enduring a lot of training seminars from July to December, which means I'll be online a lot less... but I still plan to steal time to post.
Thank you for all of the congratulations, everybody! More importantly, thank you for all the prayers! My stomach thanks you, too! "Only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain."

| Aw, Jon, I am just thrilled for you! (Sorry I missed this update until now! :shy:). That is fantastic that you found such a great job! Can't beat all the great paid days off you get working for the State! Woo hoo! And you get to EAT on top of that! :haha: Congratulations! And good to hear you're not planning on deserting us! You've fit in so well here in such a short period of time...I know I speak for all of us that you'd be greatly missed! Let us know how your first day/week goes...I hope you have a nice, smooth transition! And enjoy these last couple of weeks you have off! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
