Beth loved her gift, it made her cry. We took it to a craft store in town to be matted and framed and it is now hanging in Beth's living room. Great job Savannah. Thanks for helping me surprize a dear friend.

Me again. I've been working on Emma Brand (aka Emma Watson) from The Andy Griffith Show off and on for quite a while now, and finally finished her up. She kept getting put on the back burner when other projects would come up. I sent a kind of half-way-done shot of her to Rob a while back, and then almost threw her away. (Not because of anything Rob said, by the way. A few drawings... - Page 9 687159

) But she just didn't look like she was going to turn out for me. So....I set her aside, and then ran across her a few weeks later, and thought "Well, she isn't as horrible as I thought! Maybe I can work with her after all.".....Anyway....she's my favorite "little old lady" character on The Andy Griffith Show, and I wanted to try to draw her:

I didn't watch Andy Griffith often (I know, shame on me! :shy: ), but she defnitely looks familiar. Savannah, what a beautiful drawing! I love the little expression on her face! She looks like one of those 'spitfire' old ladies, the kind that will tell you 'what's what'! Laughing

I don't know how I missed your drawing of Laura, Savannah, but it is absolutely wonderful!! I know Beth must have been very happy with it. What a thoughtful idea for a gift, Marilyn.

Rhonda, she's on my list. I have to find a good picture of her....So far, the pictures I've found are either too small or don't do her justice.....I may try to do a screen capture from one of the DVDs. That's what I ended up doing when I drew Floyd the Barber.

My goodness it's quiet here tonight! I thought with it being so very quiet on the board tonight, it might be a nice time to come in and post a picture of the portrait that I finished up this week. This is Kiley, and honestly, when I saw her picture I was terribly worried that I wouldn't be able to draw her! (And poor Rob was forced to listen to me rambling nervously about the project for days. He's the soul of patience!) By the time I got toward the end of the portrait, I could almost "hear" Kiley giggling when I was working on her - her smile was just that infectious. LOL! (So much for the board being quiet - I'm chattering endlessly just in this post! ;-) ) So anyway, here's little Kiley.....
