Wow. I had seen this just a week ago before you put the finishing details on. At the time I thought it looked 'done', at least to me! Shows how much I know! You really are a detail-oriented person, and I can't even believe how different and more realistic this is than the 'draft' you sent me before. This talent of yours is truly remarkable! Barney's expression steals the show here, but just look at that expression on Thelma Lou as well! She looks so happy and content...and beautiful. Nice job Savannah!

I was the exact same way. Savannah showed it to me and said she still had more to do, and I couldn't see where anything else was needed. Then I saw the finished product, and it just looked so much deeper and... complete. Truly mind-blowing!

I was coming here to share my excitement. (For those of you on Facebook, this will be a repeat, so please forgive the rerun. ) I entered three of my drawings in a fair this week, and found out the results today.

I entered:

Barney & Thelma Lou, who took first place in their division:

Oliveah, who took first place in her division:



And John Wayne, who took first place and an Outstanding Exhibit award!




I hope you all don't mind me squealing with delight here for a little while.

Now I have a question for you all...There's a county-wide "Art Prize" contest coming up in a little over a week. I'm trying to decide what piece to enter. I have John Wayne, Oliveah, Barney & Thel, and the portrait of Jane Seymour as Elise that are available to use. (The rest have been given away.) I can't quite decide which one to enter....Any votes from the prairie?
