I missed about five minutes during the first 20 minutes of the show. Did I miss anything, er... interesting? Or did the threat of nudity just not pan out?

Did someone mention a pan? Frying pan batEyes Sorry to be slow on the draw, there. I'm not quite fully recovered yet. Wink

Doesn't it seem like that would be uncomfortable? (Not the pan - the nudity) I mean, I hate bugs, and they're annoying enough when a person is fully clothed. But it seems like that would just send the annoyance factor into overdrive. And the sand and little stones . . . . Spiders and bugs all over . . . . It seems more like someone was pretty desperate for attention, to take it all off in that kind of surroundings - no matter how hot it was out.

Nice call on the pan, Savannah. LOL!! In the previews, they just showed him jumping in the water for a swim. He looked to be nude, but of course they blur it out. He wasn't just walking around camp. At least he dove into the water. LOL!!

Ah, thanks for the clarification, Teresa.

Rob, sorry to keep you waiting, only to shock you with my post. :shy:

I'm wondering . . . .Would any of you want to go on Survivor? After having watched it. . . . . and seeing what the contestants go through. . . I'm just curious.

I could NEVER do it. I'd be starving after a few hours. I'd be so weak and exhausted. Sometimes it takes at least 2 days until they can get a fire started. You need the fire to boil the water so that it's finally drinkable. I'd be praying for some coconuts to be nearby.
I know that Beckie would absolutely love to be on the show. She's said that she'd like to try-out someday soon. I commend the people that are able to do it. I wouldn't last long. If I knew someone on the show, then I could do the day/overnight visit that they sometimes have, after winning a reward challenge, but that's the extent of it for me. LOL!!

And they showed two girls out in the water (Randy on shore at the time) and they were blurring out their upper half, so they had to be topless. Maybe CBS called a halt to it. It wouldn't be the first time the show has blurred out topless girls though.

I'm with Teresa...I wouldn't last more than a few days! LOL!! I'm pretty much a girly girl and I don't see myself in 'survival' mode. Also, I honestly don't think my ego would be able to take it. I would be too self-conscious of what the audience at home is thinking of me, like "gosh, look at her teeth" or "gee, you'd think she could lose a few pounds for the show" or sth. I'm way too self-conscious to be able to handle that kind of pressure. Huh? I generally pride myself on not being too concerned about what people think of me, but National TV? I think not. batEyes

I keep trying to get up the nerve to audition, lol! I am trying to think of an audition video. I have printed out the application a few times, but that's about it, lol.

I think it could go either way for me, I could win, or I would be voted off early, lol. I have a number of stradegies I would go with. I know a lot of the dos and donts. But sometimes those could be seen differently depending on the people, and the twists and turns the game takes.

Haha thanks! grinsmiley Yeah if I even get picked out of the thousands that audition, lol. The only thing that would be a problem is getting the time off from work to fly back and forth to LA for the cast interviews. If I made it that far.

You should send it in, Beckie...just for fun! If they pick you, then just worry about the logistics after the fact. Who knows, we could be saying "We knew Beckie when..." Wink

I really liked that golf challenge! That looked like a lot of fun. A nice change from the usual "run the obstacle course and then assemble the puzzle" challenges. Yawn

My problem with a lot of the challenges is that I just don't get 'em. Jeff will explain it to the Survivors and then ask if they have any questions. "Nope, we're ready!" And I'm thinking... "Um, what are we supposed to do after you say 'go'?" :shy:

So the golf was nice. It was within my limited ability to understand. I also like the even simpler ones, where they have to, like, stand on a post in the water till they get tired and fall off. Thumbsup
