| This thread is one that I posted at the old forum. I thought that it would be a good one to bring over here. At the other forum I posted pictures of my collection. I hope to bring them over too.
I am new here but I just thought that I would make a list of all the books I have so that some of you, if interested, could look them up and read more about Laura. I have categorized them into groups by author or topic. If you know of any other book that is not mentioned below, please post. | I don't have room for any more books, sorry! But I've gotten the first two books in the TL Tedrow series from the library and am almost finished with "Missouri Homestead." It's a great story. I have to scout my library for a bunch of those other books. Those reference lists will come in handy when searching for them. |

| You can order books from the homesites. I have done that before. They have special buoklets that you can't get anywhere else. Try ordering from some of them. | |

| Hope you don't mind me putting my 2 cents in here Christina. Marilyn is talking about the places Laura and Almanzo lived that have gift shops. Here are a couple of links: http://www.liwms.com/This site says they are redesigning their online gift shop, but here's the link so you have it. http://www.walnutgrove.org/index.htmlhttp://www.lauraingallswilderhome.com/index.htmlYou can order lots of titles through Amazon for a good price, but what I have found--especially with the booklets by William Anderson--is that they don't stock these and must get them from somewhere else. I have waited 3 to 6 months for some of my titles. So, if you are in a hurry to get something, it might be a good idea to order through a LIW specific site. The closest bookstore to me is Waldensbooks, which is associated with Borders. They used to have some of the Rose and Caroline titles, but now they only stock the original LH series which ticks me off, especially when you see some of the young adult books on their shelves. I can't believe what some young people are reading. Yikes! Cheryl | |

- Thanks, Carol! I will definitely check those sites out. I want to finish the Caroline years as soon as I can, I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book! LOL. Thank you :)
Edit: The first site that I looked at (the first link), had a picture of the gift shop and it looks like a dreamland for all of us! LOL shelf after shelf of books...I can't wait to go visit some of these places someday! I think you meant thanks Cherly | |
