Marilyn, I printed out your wonderful list when you originally posted it at the old forum, and everytime I get another book (currently adding to "The Caroline Years"), I cross it off the list. Thanks for sharing, especially the pics! grinsmiley

I'm hoping to get to the bookstore later. I'm trying to get more books in the "Caroline Years" but Border's never seems to have anymore. Every time I go, I buy one, and I have 3, and they never have any new ones out :( LOL I'm hoping today will be my lucky day!

I don't have room for any more books, sorry!
But I've gotten the first two books in the TL Tedrow series from the library and am almost finished with "Missouri Homestead." It's a great story.
I have to scout my library for a bunch of those other books. Those reference lists will come in handy when searching for them.

My local Border's carries nothing but the LIW books, and it was very disappointing that I had to leave with nothing today :( I tried ordering one of the Charlotte years books, but I think I'm going to end up looking online for them, probably with Amazon.

You can order books from the homesites. I have done that before. They have special buoklets that you can't get anywhere else. Try ordering from some of them.

Hope you don't mind me putting my 2 cents in here Christina. Marilyn is talking about the places Laura and Almanzo lived that have gift shops. Here are a couple of links:

http://www.liwms.com/

This site says they are redesigning their online gift shop, but here's the link so you have it. http://www.walnutgrove.org/index.html

http://www.lauraingallswilderhome.com/index.html

You can order lots of titles through Amazon for a good price, but what I have found--especially with the booklets by William Anderson--is that they don't stock these and must get them from somewhere else. I have waited 3 to 6 months for some of my titles. So, if you are in a hurry to get something, it might be a good idea to order through a LIW specific site.

The closest bookstore to me is Waldensbooks, which is associated with Borders. They used to have some of the Rose and Caroline titles, but now they only stock the original LH series which ticks me off, especially when you see some of the young adult books on their shelves. I can't believe what some young people are reading. Yikes!
