Prayers Needed for my Brother

Good for you, Jacob, having hope is what will help for all of you to get through this. Hope, coupled with a positive attitude can do wonders.

When my mom was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis she was given a survival rate of 20 - 25 years with the disease. She survived for 38 years after being diagnosed with the disease. I know that her strong will to live and her positive attitude is what kept her going for as long as she did.

Sometimes when bad things happen, even the nicest people end up saying the stupidest things. They don't know what to say, and then blurt out something that ends up being cruel or hurtful. But I'm so glad that you aren't giving up hope! God's power isn't made weaker by those thoughtless words of unkindness, so just keep right on praying and hoping, and doing what you're doing. Thanks for keeping us updated. John has been in my prayers every single day, and will continue to be.

Truer words have never been said Savannah. And Pam, that is so true too...each case has to be individual because each person's strength and will are separate to them and them alone! Jacob, John sounds like he has quite the determined attitude. And I know he has his family supporting him and loving him through it and not giving up hope. Prayers continue to go up for him and for you.

They have started Chemo again and i guess Chemo is doing it's thing again he is not feeling to good His Hair is Falling out now

Jacob, it will be a vicious cycle for your brother for a while. He will have his good days and he will have his bad days. The bad days are normally a day or so after the chemo. My oncologist always gave me some medications to take BEFORE the chemo was actually done to keep me from getting sick. For the most part, it did work, but the chemo still drained ALL my energy out of me and made me feel real BLAH. Your brother probably doesn't feel like eating either, but it is important for him to in order to keep what little strength he has. Hopefully, they are giving him something like Ensure to drink for all the nutrients he needs. Please know that I think of him daily and say a prayer that things will go well. [[[Jacob]]]

I know this has to be so tough on you Jacob. It's hard to watch, as a family member. My husband's mom died of ovarian cancer and it was pure agony watching her go through it. I continue to pray for John and for you and your family.

My Brother was abel to Come Home on Wensday and had to be Back on Friday by Lunch But he did't feel very good the Whole time he could't keep much in his Stomach when he try to eat we are going there tomorrow might Know more then thanks for the Prayers evreybody

John continues to be in my prayers, Jacob. Let us know how he is doing and if they can give him something to keep him from feeling so bad, like Rhonda took.

Thank you Alice My Brother is not feeling good at all he had the Fever Yesterday all Day today it had went down but he still feels the same except his fever is down his blood count is still down from the Chemo thats the Reason why he feels so bad Thank you again for all of your Prayers

I'm sorry he's feeling so poorly, Jake. We'll be continuing our prayers on his behalf.

Jacob, when my blood count dropped low, they had to give me shots to raise it back. I remember one time having to go in 21 days in a row to get these shots to get the count back up. Then a couple of times, it was so low, I had to be checked into the hospital to receive blood transfusions. As far as not being able to eat, I understand that, as food was not appealing, not the taste, not the smell, nothing. My oncologist always had cases of Ensure for patients to grab on the way out, just to make sure they got their nutrients. Please see if your brother can at least sip on a can of Ensure and possibly hold it down, he REALLY needs his nutrients and his strength. And please know that I continue to pray for him and for your family. Stay strong for him Jacob, he needs that right now.
