Wow Savannah, that is just ridiculous. And a very sad comment on our society.

I'm not sure if this is where this should go or not.........But I have a question/comment about the news in general, so I'll put it here. I can't believe what is considered "News" now! I was looking through general headlines last night - not in an entertainment or social section, just general headlines. And one of the headlining "News" stories was about Sarah Palin's daughter breaking up with her boyfriend. And it was listed in higher ranking than the school shootings in Germany and the church shooting in Illinois. Good grief. Since when did teen gossip become newsworthy??
That's what I'd like to know!!! It's really bad on Yahoo. Its nothing but a bunch of gossip. I'm one of those people who could care less what anybody wore last night, how beautiful it was or how ugly it was. It's fine if you want to know about those things, just don't call it news!

She went missing on 3/27 and her body has now been found. Here is video of her:
It is just disgusting how someone can do that to a kid. It so upsetting to know the person is still out there. My prayers are with her family and specially the mother... she is going through such a horrible experience right now...

Oh, how sad Carol. That poor family; I'll be praying for them.
Just saw this in the news. This pirating stuff sure is getting scary! I wonder what the Obama administration will do---we're not known to give into ransom demands.
That pirate story is pretty scary. There's so much in the news now that makes a person wonder what kind of people could possibly do those kinds of things.

It sounds like this is becoming a way of life for the Somalians! It's just crazy! I mean, what kind of weaponry are ships supposed to carry these days?!

I'm glad to hear there was a good ending to the pirate story: the captain was safely rescued, one pirate was arrested and the others killed.

A friend of mine in Texas emailed me this story, and I thought it was too sweet to keep to myself. I can't post the video itself here, because embedding was disabled. It's only a couple of minutes long - here's the link:

LOL, yep---he is a VERY cool guy! I wonder how many hours that was....I think he said something about being out there since 6:45 or SLT, but I don't know what time it was that he said that. And at that point, he was still catching ducks, LOL...he hadn't even started his duck parade to the river that sounded like it took forever!

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate thing to talk about on here, but has anyone heard of the shooting that happened at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC this past Wednesday? my mom told me when I got home from school, and it just disturbed me for a lot of reasons. here's a link to an article written about this shooting if anyone is interested in reading it and/or hasn't heard of it

I have heard of it. What a sad thing this is. I spoke with this man one time who flat out truly believes the holocaust was just a "made up story" by the Jews.
It is sad to know that there are people out there who believe that.
I've also met someone who was in the camp and had some numbers tattooed on her arm.

how could anyone think The Holocaust is just a made up story? is there not enough evidence? I just found this shooting disrespectful in many ways to many different groups of people, especially Jewish citizens.
I also met a survivor, in 8th grade when my school was studying this time period. he was a 3-year survivor of Auschwits. I was honored to meet him!

we all know about Michael Jackson's death, and about the media swarming around this question: who will get custody of Michael's children? I found this article on google news, saying that Janet wants to help raise her brother's kids. I hope it's true, because I'd like to see Michael's kids stay with their father's family.
That is so awesome...gives me goosebumps! There was a segment on the news recently on another SUV burning and a bunch of good samaritans jumping in, and they saved three children inside...it was on the Today show just a few days ago. When asked if he thought twice about helping, one of the rescuers said he's the father of three you children himself, he just knew he need to get them out. He said you just go into a different 'mode' altogether.
