Hey all! This upcoming Friday & Saturday is our livestock show & sale & Shiloh is showing a goat, Blackie, and we helped him with a craft, a Longhorn clock.

The craft will be judged Friday & the animal, Saturday. The sale will start Saturday evening @ 5 p.m.

Blackie got his haircut today & we got all but the clock face put on Sunday evening.

Here are a few pics; please, let me honestly know what you think about the clock.

Awww! Misti, Blackie is so cute! And Shiloh did an excellent job with the clock. The finish is nice and smooth, the numbers are placed evenly...and what an imaginative project! Will you let us see it when it's completely finished?

Oh - I almost forgot to ask....Are these 4-H projects? It's too early here for that - I mean, for 4-H showing.... but I was thinking that maybe in Texas things in 4-H run on a slightly different schedule.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate your thoughts.
Yes, Savannah, we are in the 4-H and some of the kids are in the FFA at school. In Texas this is the time of the month that all the area stock shows are held (except SA has theirs in February that goes along with the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo).

As far as our school, the kids get out early on Friday (for the stock show that weekend) and then Monday is the start of spring break. It is all counted as spring break. This way the kids can get whatever they are showing checked in and such for the show.

ETA: Yes, when we get the clock on it, I will take a final picture. Since the check in for the clock is Thursday I will take my camera card to Wal-Mart on Wednesday to print out the pictures of the work he did. These have to be included along with the log of what was bought for the project, the steps taken & the receipts for the materials.
