Gin, just a suggestion.....All the train shots in LHOTP were # 3. Include it in the little house cast when you do their drawings. Wow, that's very observant! I'd never noticed that about the trains. Because if you looked they always used the same locomotive and often reused the train scenes from episode to episode. I know, you what have thinked Michael could could have have taken 5 -10 shots of that train in different locations. He needed me as as a location director. Same sunset too in many of the episodes. You and I should have been there, oh well Gin, we were around a few years too late! Sandy, my wife, gets on me when I talk about those mis ques, too observant I guess...... Too observant. A curse! Dave

| Yes, I noticed the 3 on the LH trains too. I want to do one from the show as well. I just wanted to do a different one for Evan. And I wanted his age on the front of it as well.
Thanks everyone...this one was fun. The original photo was a night shot, so I had to make it into a day drawing . Its hard to draw in light hitting a black train at night. Makes an awesome photo, but a hard drawing. I never know what I will run into when I began a new one.
I am now working on one of Moses Gunn.(Joe Kagan) This will be the first one ever I've done of someone thats African American. Wish me luck...
Dave, I'm doing well- thanks. Btw, I sent Susan McCray a message about a soundtrack for LH music. Haven't heard anything from her. SO...stay tuned on that one. | Can I ask, what photo did you end up using Gin? All the best with the Joe Kagan one!

Alex, do you know what the number on the front of trains mean? I was hoping that the number 7 didn't mean something bad. I LOVED the way you draw the train, Gin, congrats!!! Vanesa.

| Thanks Rob, Dave. I truly enjoyed doing Moses. What I thought to be a challenge turned into fun! I loved his charactor in Joe Kagan. He brought alot of heart to LH as well as humor. I loved his laugh and how he picked at Hester Sue. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. | Thank you ladies. Lisa, are you pouring over that book??? Can't wait to see your next masterpeice in blooming color. Color still scares me.. I want to do it, but it just looks so different. Go for it....you can give the prairie the color it needs. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. | Hester Sue (Ketty Lester) I have found her so interesting! She was born Revoyda Frierson, August 16, 1934 in Hope, Arkansas---one of 15 children! Studied music at San Fransico State, and in 1962 had a hit single " Love Letters". There is more....so look her up. I wanted so bad to capture that Hester Sue expression she was always giving Albert or Charles right before offering lemonade. BUT there just was not alot of great pictures to use for a drawing of her. Got lucky with this screen cap, because it was a close up. She is such a pretty woman.
