I love all the pics, but the last one is SO adorable. Almost makes me want a puppy. Almost. I'm glad to hear everything is going well with Shadow.

What a sweet little thing. I am so glad that he is feeling better after getting rid of the ticks. That doesn't seem fair that a little guy has to suffer like that. What a great mamma you are Carol. I'd love to give him a hug.

I love the pic of Shadow with his soccer ball! What an adorable little pooch! He's going to keep you busy, that's for sure.

I know!! Same here. I LOVED raising our puppies, but they are a lot of work!! They're so much fun though---both my puppies have been worth all the effort in the long run. Have you had a puppy yet Pam? The nice thing with older kids is they're a ton of help!
Carol, I am guessing young Shadow is keeping your VERY busy!!

Carol my friend, I am so happy for you and the new addition to your family. He is adorable.... Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be one spoiled little puppy?

Hey gang,
Just wanted to report and say Shadow is growing and being mischievous! lol He's smart though, I haven't been so regular on the training as I wish I could have, but even so, he has learned the "down", "sit" and "shake" command. It's really neat seeing him obey the commands haha.
Here is a picture of him relaxing in the hammock with my dad after a bath. :)
Here is a pic of him. I love his big ears lol
I love this pic I took of him! This pooch loves the grass hehe

Shadow is gorgeous!!! Impressive that he already knows those commands! That's a Lab for ya.
Ok, that last picture deserves an award. Seriously, you need to enter that in some kind of competition!!!

Some of you have seen this already.... but here is a short video of the two little rascals before they went to sleep. You can even see Arkie about to fall into his sleeping position towards the end
I am very SAD to inform that Shadow's brother Arkie has died The owner saw my brother at work and told him. I was upset because we wanted Arkie so bad, we offered several times to pay for him and he didn't want to give him because "he wanted to have all 3 colors of labs" They didn't really take good care of him... They don't have a grassy yard and they have other animals and the dogs were full of ticks one time. Poor Arkie But now that I have Shadow and fallen in love with the pooch, I'm glad we gave him a good home, don't want to think what could have happened to Shadow...

Oh, how sad! But still, he was just adorable. Both of them are so incredibly adorable. I have been playing around with the idea of getting a dog lately. Seeing them, and hearing the story about Arkie, makes me want to go out and get one even more now. I just would love to have one and I know at least one would be certainly be in a nice home as I would take care of it.
