As a HUGE Beatles fan I got the pleasure of seeing Paul McCartney perform last night at our new hockey arena. The concert was phenomenal and the new arena breath taking!!! He was very first person to open the new place. Even before the Penguins! It was a fun filled emotional night for me. I went with my young cousin who just recently got into the Beatles. Sir Paul is a great showman. So sweet and funny. His band especially his drummer are all great! The drummer had such personality and passion! I saw Ringo Starr back in 1997. Unfortunately I will never get the chance to see John and George (my favorite Beatle) perform. He did a tribute to the both of them and I really cried especially when he sang Something in tribute to George. There is another show tonight, wish I was there again!

Glad you had a good time, Beckie! I've heard that Paul really gives the crowd their money's worth. A friend of my sister recently saw him in Kansas City, and said that the concert lasted for three hours, and Paul was onstage every minute.
Did he play the ukulele during his tribute to George?
Have you ever seen this clip? On the last night of one of his tours, the crew wanted to show him how they felt about him, so they prepared a little surprise. I thought Paul's reaction was very touching.

Ha ha he is so sweet and funny. That was nice.
Yes he totally gives us his money's worth. Plus he is a Beatle so no matter what he is totally worth it. He did play the ukulele during the George tribute. They showed pictures of George as well. That really got to me. See the one girl crying in this clip? That is exactly what I was doing. Then when I came home and told my mom about it, I started crying real bad again. I was so embarrassed, lol.

Wow Beckie, what an honor that would be to see him! My hubby is a huge fan of Paul's---we have several of his concert dvds. But Rob, I'm going to have to show him that clip---it's not one I've seen before and I'm not sure Bill has seen it either. Thanks for sharing that....gosh, his reaction made me cry! Wow...yes, very touching.

Doesn't Paul put on a incredible show? I have seen him twice. And I love that you said that he gives you your money's worth because that is what I tell people all the time. I always say that if a person wants to go to one concert in their life, it should be to see Paul McCartney. I always say that he puts on a great and very entertaining show. He is most definitely worth the price of the ticket!
