I don’t know about you, but one thing I like is listening to older people talk about their experiences, how it was like back then, because you get a sense of how much the world changes and how different lifestyles become sometimes. Anyway, I found this video on youTube that I thought was interesting, specially because I live ½ hour away from Porterville and still go to some of the towns he mentions, like Tiption. :shifty:

Here is what the video is about. It has 5 parts, but I’ll post the first two. Thumbsup

A documentary about the Flory family in Porterville, California. Ed Flory is a WW2 vet and long-time chairman of the Veterans Day Parade. He speaks about his war days and growing up on a rural Tulare County farm.

I love that kind of thing, too, Carol! It's so important to hear their stories *now*, because they aren't going to be with us forever.

40's OLD? I better put my hearing aid batteries in. Oh shoot, the wife put them up high, and I can't reach them from my Hoverround. Anybody seen my teeth? I left them in a jar around here somewhere. :think:
