| Well, when that snow gives up go out there and get them. They are an awesome set to read. I used to read THE LONG WINTER every summer to stay cool! ha! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Glad you found them. I realized the other day that my LHOP books are 40 years old. Gee, how often do you have books that are almost as old as you are? | |

| Real the whole set, plus some of Rose's , Caroline m Cahrlotte and Martha's years. I enjoyed them all. My Laura's favorites are...Oh, it's hard to pick only one, but "Little House in the Big Woods", "On the Banks of Plum Creek", "The Long winter" and "These Happy Golden Years" are GREAT to read and re-read. - I had lost my LHOTP books for a while & could not figure out or remember where I put them! Then.....last night it dawned on me....they are in the big shed in a container that I can't get to...:( But the last time I remember reading them was when I was 11 and had (sorry) but thrown up and was trying to read to take my mind off of it. I believe it was book 2. Which ever one that the Indians visit them. Haha. I remember reading that part. I believe I got them for Christmas either in 2004 or 2005 from my Aunt. At least I know where they are now! The last two books were always my favorites....I thought Almonzo was pretty adorable I guess...
I agree....I really liked when Almanzo and Laura were courting.... “I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” ― Laura Ingalls Wilder | |
