| My good friend at work Susan died unexpectedly this week. It is said that she committed suicide. I am extremely sad and broken hearted about this. Everyone at work said something just did not seem right with her. The day before we found out I did my usual hello and asked her how she was doing. She always said hello and that she was good. But that day she put her head down and kind of made some sort of noise. I just thought she was having a bad day. Others said she had been distant and walking around like a robot. I never noticed any of that. If I had known she was suffering I would have gave her a hug and tried talking to her. I am usually pretty good at cheering people up. But I guess sometimes you just can't help people. She was never married and had no kids. Her family was from out of town, but she did have friends. Her parents both died a few years ago around the holidays. She seemed fine last year during this time. But maybe it just got to be to much. We may never know. Anyway can you please pray for her and her family and also me and my co workers. I am taking it pretty bad. She was one of the kindest, funniest, and cutest little ladies ever. She was not very old either. LETS GO PENS! | |

| Hi, Beckie: What an awful thing, Beckie. I'll pray for Susan's sould. It's so sad when someone is needing our help and we don't notice it! I think that sometimes, these people who needs our help wouldn't let their friends to really "enter" in their lives. They would not open their hearts, not confess that they are going thourough a very bad moment. Maybe they feel ashamed to ask for help. What a pity that Susan wouldn't let you to help her in some way, Beckie...sometimes, the only fact of opening our hearts to others and simply TALK could change a whole situation. Vanesa. | |

| Oh Beckie, I am so sorry. It's natural to have guilt after something like this, but please don't blame yourself. This is so often the case in suicide, that people didn't see the signs...but you are only human. Like Rob said we don't know what's going on in people's hearts and minds. We all have bad days and probably any one of us would have just thought she was having a bad day, or going through 'something'....I don't think most of us think that others are going to commit suicide. This will be tough for awhile, especially since this happened with a co-worker...going to work will be difficult, I'm sure. You'll be in my prayers Beckie, as well as Susan and her family. | |

| So Sorry for your loss. Remember the times she did smile . Maybe you and your other co-workers could have your own memorial. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Thanks everyone. It was confirmed that she did indeed commit suicide. This is not the first time she has tried this. At her old work, her mom died and she attempted it. Now her father recently died. There were more problems with her as well. I did see a scar on her neck one time and thought it might have just been from an operation. I heard she was a tortured soul and was on depression medication. She had a strange cough and it was because her meds needed adjusted. She just didn't seem to care about her life any more. She became very angry in these last months. I believe with all my heart that she is in heaven because she was a very good and religious person. LETS GO PENS! | |

| What a sad think that a religious person commits suicide. She must be suffering a lot. My prayers are with her. Vanesa. | |

| What a shame....if only she could have reached out for help. It's so sad to think about.
How are you doing Beckie? Sometimes companies bring in a grief counselor for a loss like this. Did your company do this?

How are you doing Beckie? Sometimes companies bring in a grief counselor for a loss like this. Did your company do this? I am feeling better now. I do keep asking myself all these questions about it. Yes they have grief counselors, but you have to go to another hospital to talk to them, go figure. LETS GO PENS!
