Here is a quote I got from an article:

The entire Little House on the Prairie series has sold through nearly 2 million units to date, making it one of the top-selling TV DVD titles from its era, according to Lionsgate. Starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert, Little House aired on TV from 1974 to 1983, racking up four Emmys and three Golden Globes during its run.

Too bad there's nothing like it on today. I think Dr. Quinn and the early seasons of 7th Heaven are the only shows since LHotP ended its run that can even come close.
