I was watching Cast Away with Tom Hanks last week. Its been years since I've seen it last and the darn movie made me cry AGAIN!! I know men aren't supposed to cry (blah, blah) but I can't help it. It feels so good, like a release, to let them fly once in a while. Be honest ladies, do you find that a man crying is a sign of weakness? Second question: What makes YOU cry?

No it is not a sign of weakness at all. Now if there is a man who cries all the time, that's a different story lol
What makes me cry? A sentimental TV COMMERCIAL can make me cry lol

Yep, that!
I loved Castaway too Joe. Basically, I'm a sucker for dramas and can cry pretty easily at a well done dramatic movie. The more likely question for me is, what doesn't make me cry. That would be anything that tries to pull out the 'obvious' tear....like certain reality TV shows that gain money and populartity off people's hardships....ABC Home Makeover is one that comes to mind, or Biggest Loser. Certain shows (IMO) are blatantly exploitative; I can 'feel' that as I'm watching (like the crew and everyone all bawling)...it's a ploy and it aggravates me more than makes me emotional. Not sure if this makes sense to anyone but myself though.

My husband rarely cries, but I don't think of him as less of a man for it.
I pretty much cry whenever I watch an emotional movie.

A commercial? You must be a quick crier! It took me a minute but I think I know what you mean. Those sponser a child commercials or the rescue an animal commercials do tug at the heartstrings. Now if you are talking about Geico or fastfood ads, that's a different thing.

Wow, those really are powerful. This one's theme isn't quite as serious, but I thought the "To their moms, they'll always be kids" ad that aired during last year's winter Olympics was very touching.
