| I was going to write this in the prayer request section, but this really isn't a prayer request. It's more like a praise report! (Hey, maybe we need one of those! Lol!)
So last year, 2011 was quite a hard and difficult year for us as it was for many I know and from what I have heard. There were times when we did not know if we would be able to make it money wise. My Dad never got that police job which was a good thing because we found out a WHOLE lot about that and it was God protecting my father. Of course, we now have hospital bills and ambulance bills from when he collapsed when he was in training...but that is not what I am getting to. Anyway, we were going thru so much. I will be honest, there was a point where I said there was no God and I stopped believing. I told my friend at church that if there was a God he would have already come thru. Thank God he did not bash me for saying that because when a person is in that state of mind at the moment, fussing and scolding at them is not exactly what they need then. So he was just there for me listening to me and being understanding. My Dad's current job pays hardly anything to support a family. It's quite sad. So that is why things were getting so bad. Well, shortly after I said there was no God...(bangs head on table.) our church called us and said that they had a whole bunch of food for us. (It was even getting hard to buy groceries.) One item was a turkey. Shortly after my dad's job gave a certificate for a turkey. So now we had two turkeys on our hands. We used one for Christmas. Christmas Eve a distant relative whom we have become close with called my Mom. She said she had a Christmas gift for us. It ended up being almost or a little bit over $700. Their small church's prayer group and family all donated to help us....that was a serious shocker. Then....Yesterday, New Year's Day my Dad's friend Tim called him. Mr. Tim said he had told his friend about what a hard time we were going thru. Well, this friend of my Dad's friend went out and bought a lot of groceries for us...and the guy doesn't even know us!!! Also, ontop of everything else my Dad has a VERY good chance of getting this AMAZING job with Norfolk Southern. It pays so so so much better than we've EVER had. Like loads better. And my cousin's roomate works with the company and is helping Dad get on too! So please be in prayer about that.
I just wanted to give a shout about how God is good...and yes, I believe in Him!!!!!! "The beauty of a woman is incredibly radiant when she finds her identity, her confidence, & her hope in Christ alone. "

| Great news, Julia! SOmetimes we thinks that things are getting worse and worse, but suddenly, they began to improve. We don't know why GOd allows all those things, but His wisdom is infinite and if He allows something that seems to be bad, it's sure that He is getting ready to offer you something 100% better than the one you espected to. Please: keep us updated about your father's job. I'll keep praying for you and your family! Vanesa. | |

(What kind of job would your dad be getting, like in what part of NS?) Conductor on a freight train. I am not sure, but he may eventually be an engineer. Hello Julia, I'm Savannah's brother, will be praying about that job. I am unemployed myself and waiting patiently for what God has for me. Sometimes that can be really difficult to do. But I can tell you that God has provided for me at every turn. Life is hard, but God is GOOD! A train conductor? That would be a VERY cool job to have! My inner child is jumping for joy at the thought of doing that job! LOL!

Mine, too. I was a train fanatic as a kid. When I was about 5, I asked for a train for Christmas. I was bitterly disappointed when I found a model train under the tree instead of a real one.

You had GREAT expectations Rob! LOL! Imagine trying to fit it under the tree? I think you'd have heard that present coming, along with every neighbor for a block! Hope you had a great new year!
