| When i first got the cat.we gave her dry food she did NOT like it.She would only eat the can stuff.
Now that she's been eating cat treats,She only wants cookies.LOL

| Well, my cat is 10 yrs old now. For 9 yrs I feed her just dry. She was demanding and not too friendly. She had this thing that if she saw the bottom of her bowl she was out of food. It did not matter that she had dry food all around the SIDES of her bowl. So between the 4 of us, we were constantly giving her food. As a result, she weighed in at a healthy 15lbs 9 oz by March of 2010. The vet told me at her annual visit that she was boarder line diabetic, and that if I didn't put her on a diet she would need insulin shots soon. I was so sad for her and knew I needed to turn her around. SO, I put her on canned food. I cut it like a pie...into 4 wedges. In the morning she gets one wedge, and night she gets another. That was a hard thing to do at first. We had to take her in the bathroom and talk her into eating what was in her bowl. SHe followed me around for 3 weeks begging for more, but after that she settled down. She is much more friendly too, she knows I am her food source so she better be kind. She is at 9lbs now and is jumping more, something she couldn't do before. Her skin is healthier too because of the oils in the canned food. Good luck! mine can get bitty sometimes. My cats were this way too. The elder one only would eat meat, dry cat fod was like a snack for him. He was fat as a ball! The little one never could eat meat and only demanded dry cat food, and sometimes, the can stuff as a treat. But he didn't like all can stuff flavors. He had a "turkey time" and then a "chicken time", but he liked it with gravy. If there were not gravy in his can, he would not eat it... Vanesa. | |

| My cats mainly eat dry cat food. In the morning all my cats- and I have around ten- have to share one small can of wet food.
My older cats refuse to eat food out of a bowl if they can see the bottom. | |
