Jeepers Creepers is a good one. Have you seen part two?

Final Destination is good.

What about The Creature from the Black Lagoon? I think it's a pretty good movie.
I was really young when I first saw it. My family was visiting my aunt in Georgia, and we kids were told that we could watch TV in her bedroom. Well, my cousin and my little brother lay across the bed with me and we all watched the movie. I think my brother had the good sense to go back and sit w/ mom. He was probably about four years old. Anyway...keep in mind that this is the same cousin that made bird noises and pinched at my ears while watching The Birds. During the ride home (45min - an hour), it was dark and there were lots and lots of thick trees on the sides of the highway. My cousin reminded me of the creature, and of course whenever we came to cross a bridge over water, I'd sink down into the backseat. My cousin thought it was fun to tell me that the creature was coming out of the water. My mom had to tell her - Cut it out! Stop scaring my baby! LOL!

Believe it or not, I love this crazy cousin dearly. She's like a sister to me...always has been. We're 3 years apart...I'm 39 and she'll be 42 in December. Too bad we don't live very close as we used too. She's about 3 hours away now with a hubby and three kids.

What about Interview with a Vampire? I couldn't watch it. Too bloody.

Well, I have a long history of not understanding movies, so parts of this one weren't clear to me. Like I'm still not sure what the horses had to do with it.

I was quite proud when I realized that The Ring referred to the ring of light that showed around the stone that covered the mouth of the well the little girl drowned in. :shifty:

Hi, Rob.

OMGoodness, yes! The horses. What the heck?! I don't get it. Like you, I did realize that the ring was the light at well.
Back to the horses. Maybe it had something to do with horses going around in a circle/ring on a carousel. LOL! I'm so corny! :haha:

Thirteen Ghosts - the orginal and other made a few years ago. Pretty scary.

Works for me!

About Thirteen Ghosts, I remember seeing the original as a kid, and being terrified by it. OhMy

Hi, again, Rob. Wave

"Works for me!" That's Rick Hunter's phrase from "Hunter". LOL! Have you ever watched "Hunter"?

Maybe we ought to have a thread, interpreting movies. Discuss what we think the meaning behind things in them are.

I like that idea, Misti.

For those who get TCM, there's a movie on at 2 AM (three hours from now, eastern time) Monday morning called "Spirit of the Beehive." It sounds really interesting. I'm gonna tape it. Here's a review...

I just thought of another one! This one's kind of freaky, more than scary, sort of in a 'Sixth Sense' kind of way. "The Others", with Nicole Kidman. I really liked that movie! It was directed by M.Night Shamylan (sp?) so I guess that's why I like it! It's a creepy one...a 'good creepy'! Thumbsup

I've never seen that one, but I would like to. Maybe I'll go rent it. Thanks for the suggestion.

"Hunter", a popular 80's drama, was often called the poor man's "Dirty Harry" (Clint Eastwood). It starred Fred Dryer (Rick Hunter) and Stepfanie Kramer (Dee Dee McCall) as two LAPD homicide detectives.

Fred Dryer started off in the show as a cop who went by more of his own rules than those of the law. He even wore a sportcoat and tie like Dirty Harry. After a while, Hunter toned down his attitude a bit, and there were more episodes that had a lot less killing in them. Thumbsup
During the first season..maybe the first two, you'd see Hunter at the end of the opening credits saying "Works for me", as he stood looking down at a perp.
