| When the Mother died, what happened to the Sanderson's home? Did Grace move into their home or did she have a large enough home for them? | |

They moved into the Sanderson home.....which was also the Garvey's House later on in the show. Scene from "Remember Me" Scene from "The Wolves" Pat Labyorteaux's First Appearance "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

| I've always find odd that the Garveys lived in the same house than the Edwards...and that it also was the same house in which the Sandersons had lived before...Is it possible that children Sanderson didn't inherited their parents house? Vanesa. | |

| I think you weren't supposed to notice, probably meant the sets could be smaller and cheaper. From "Cassandra's" book, it seemed doing things cheaply was important and if it meant using the same home twice or more, maybe that was done. Thanks for the pics, you see it when you watch the show, but seeing still pictures makes it easier. | |

| I just watched this again on Hallmark. I couldn't really understand why Harriet's rich cousin couldn't take 3 children, with her money John and his brother could have gotten a good education also or gone into a trade. I know it's just a story, but it seemed so cold.

| I, too find it odd that Mrs.Oleson's cousin didn't condsider taking all 3 children. Maybe it's because the Anders had already decided to take John and Carl. | |

| To be farm hands though, she said, "The Anders have a good farm". If she talked to John at all, she would have seen he was not a "farmer" at heart. When Charles told the children it was hard to take 3 kids at once, that was true for everyone but Harriet's cousin.
All and all, they got to be where they wanted to be although the writers had other ideas later.

| One thing I wish they had changed for this episode was the characterization of Mr. Anders. I wish he had not seemed to only want the boys to be farmhands and that he was truly sorry that he could not also take in Alicia. I do believe Miss Farnsworth (is that her name) did manifest love for Alicia, and I think that she was actually quite happy that Mr. Edwards and Grace were going to end up being parents to all three of the children. Maybe Miss Farnsworth went off and adopted a girl who had no siblings from some orphanage. I do think she would have given a child a good home with love. I like that she told Mr. Edwards that rich people can love. As for her not wanting to also take the boys, well, I can understand that.....after all, she was a self-proclaimed "spinster" and I think she would not really have known what to do with 2 boys along with Alicia. Although she may have been able to handle it financially, I'm not so sure she could handle it socially or emotionally.
I love the puppies, but isn't it kind of funny that the puppies stay the exact same size throughout the show which is supposed to cover over a month's time? Also, I really don't think those cute curly puppies would be coming out of that mama dog they showed at the beginning. The father of the puppies must have been purebred French poodle or something! HAHA!
Also, why didn't Laura attend the wedding at the end?!?! Was she jealous because Mr. Edwards was sort of her main man (next to her Pa)!? HAHA! Or did I just totally miss seeing Laura there?

| I have been thinking about this in the last few days....why did Charles need to go and farm the land for Mrs. Sanderson? Wouldn't John, Jr. or even Carl have been expected to do the farming, since their Pa had died? | |
