| I passed a temporary roadside market today and had to stop after eying the FRESH PEACHES sign. It has been years since I had a good peach, most are mealy and lack the flavor and juiciness that I remember as a kid growing up in Michigan. I walked into the open air tented structure and asked the proprietor how much a peach was and was told, ".50 cents". So I made my selection from a wooden fruit basket, paid the lady and went on my way. After ten steps and a single bite, I walked back onto the tent and said, "Thats the best peach I've had in years!" She just smiled and gave me a gentle nod of her flaxen colored head. (Not her whole head was flaxen colored, just her hair, I should have been more clear.) I ended up buying four more peaches and sampling one of her delishious melons. I have half a mind to return tommorow and get my hands on two of those babys! So juicy!!

| Sounds good! Hey, Joe, where in Michigan did you grow up? I apologize if I asked you this when you first joined, but I probably got distracted by something shiny. - Joe wrote:

Yeah, please be more careful in the future.

| Madison Heights. We didnt have any legless llamas nor spiney anteaters but it was a fine place for a kid to grow up. "Willie, were you or were you not looking at the corsett ads in the catalogue?" - Nels | |

| I love fresh summer peaches. I've been craving some homemade peach cobbler all summer. I really need to make it over to our local stand.
Madison Heights is not far at all from where I live. I have a couple of friends who live there.

| My favorite peaches are the Colorado peaches. I live in Minnesota, and I know they have them in Iowa. Does anyone else get them? To me, they're the best tasting peaches out there. | |

No, but I'd love to try one! I haven't had a good Michigan or Georgie peach all summer actually. I always try to buy local, but when I can't find anything satisfactory, I'll branch out. But yeah, even the Georgia peaches were lacking this year. Wish I could try a Colorado one!

| One of the best things on the world is a good, tasteful and juicy peach. Now, we are approaching to summer and they are comming to the markets again...Sadly they are not so good as they used to be sme years ago, but oh, well... When I have some good peaches I'll do a good amount of jam . I love peach jam too. Vanesa. | |

| I had one when I lived in a house. The peaches from my tree were really, but really tasteful. I used to make jam with them. The only problem is that peaches trees usually has some little pests or fungus. Vanesa. | |
