| I am going this weekend to get a new bike tire for my bike. Everything I need is in close proximity anyway (for the most part), and hey, it'll be a great health benefit. This is just getting out of hand. | |

| I know what you mean, Pam. My bike is out at the lake, but I may bring it home and start using it a lot more. | |

| People around here are pretty steamed at the gas station owners. They tend to jack up the prices when things are quiet, then lower them when the tourists come to town. So the perception is that they're gouging us locals. The holiday weekend is coming up, so I'm betting the price will slide back down into the $3.90s. Sheesh. Who would've guessed a year ago that we'd be talking about gas going down into the $3.90s?? | |

Sorry, Jacob. I didn't see your question. I used to do a lot of biking through the woods out by the lake, so I left it in a little shed out there for the winter. | |

| Thanks to these gas prices I'm probably making more money off unemployment than I would be if I were still with my old job. I had an hour long commute every day, plus the fact I did traveling on the job that I'm pretty sure wouldn't be giving me fair price on the mile. | That's a long commute. You could learn a foreign language via CDs just in your drive back and forth to work!! :Hahaha: I met a lady yesterday who drives 100 miles ONE way to work. She has to fill her tank every other day. With gas prices what they are, that would have to be one VERY high paying job, just to meet the gas expenses. | |

| Well we've made the wonderful leap to $3.90 now. Had to refill last night. Much to my dismay. "Only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain." | |

| I got gas yesterday and it was $3.97 today it was $3.99. I saw it at some other stations and it was $4.12 to $4.25, all within a few miles of each other. Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow. | |

| This is certainly one race I'd be happy to lose or forfeit. "Only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain." | |

| Well I'm officially freaked out. My son (in 7th grade) came home from school yesterday saying that they talked about the price of gas in his history class. His history teacher talks economics and current events with them, and so far he's been right on with his predictions regarding our economy. He said that he has read that by July gas will be at $5.00/gallon, and by August it will be at $6.00/gallon!! I mean, WHAT are we going to do?! My hubby is a commuter, so this hurts us more than the 'typical' person. He commutes one hour away, Mon-Fri...he drives a Saturn so that's good, but still, we're already hurting at $4.00/gallon!! And the way everything is going up at the grocery store too, I just don't know where that leaves all of us. It is really scary. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| My goodness!! $5 or $6? Wow!! Remember the days when we were worried that it would hit the $2 mark? LOL!! I think it's at $3.80 right now. We haven't hit $4 yet, but I'm sure it will continue to creep up there. | |
