Frankly, my deer Empty
PostSubject: Frankly, my deer   Frankly, my deer EmptyTue Nov 22, 2011 5:36 pm

Some of you might've seen this on my Facebook. I've got a deer that's been hanging around my yard. She's a doe (a deer, a female deer Frankly, my deer 811339 ), and she has a bad leg. I'm thinking maybe she got ostracized from her herd because she couldn't keep up. She comes into the yard to eat - she likes apples, bread, corn and sunflower seeds - and spends the rest of her time laying on a pile of leaves at the edge of the woods.

It's a whitetail. Wiki says:

The white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), also known as the Virginia deer or simply as the whitetail, is a medium-sized deer native to the United States (all but five of the states), Canada , Mexico , Central America , and South America as far south as Peru . It has also been introduced to New Zealand and some countries in Europe, such as Finland , Czech Republic , and Serbia.

The ones we see around here are Fallow Deer.(They're mostly escapees from deer farms.)
