Yes, I knew...But it happened at 4 A.M and I was sleeping soundly, so I didn't got up to watch the eclipse...

It happened here, Central time between midnight and 2 am.....we had an overcast sky of clouds and I knew I wouldn't be seeing anything......I wish I could've seen it though because the unique thing about this eclipse was, it happened on the winter solstice and won't happen again until December 21, 2094......

When I came in last night, we had a big ol' bright full moon, so after seeing the first pic, I know it happened...cuz that is not a full moon showing.

Very cool! Looks like we North Americans are going to miss out on that one, though.
But look at this, Rhonda! On Aug. 21, 2017 you're going to be smack dab in the path of a total eclipse! And if you miss that one, there'll be another one for you on April 8, 2024. The 2024 one will be the closest I'll come to a total eclipse in my lifetime, and I plan to travel a couple hundred miles to see it... God willing.
