You're welcome.  Judging by that chart up there, it looks like your area is going to be nicked by totality in 2024!

That would be great to see in person. Remind me when that time comes because I don't know if I will remember in 9 years.... Laughing

laugh3 I will be here, and I will be sure to see this thread when you post! Will you be able to see the eclipse from where you are at?

I live in Grayling, in the northern part of the mitten, so we'll only see a partial eclipse up here.  I plan to travel south to catch totality, though... insofar as anyone can plan anything nine years in advance.  Smile

Right, it isn't easy to make plans like that 9 years out... At this point it's more of a "that is something that I would like to do" type of thing. Hopefully you get to see it though!

The eclipse here 8 days ago was great.

95% of the sun was covered where I live and it was clear weather. The light and shadows became very unusual, the birds became quiet and the temperature dropped for half an hour.

Wow, neat! Thanks for sharing. I hope we get to experience the same over here in 9 years!

Well, I think you get a total eclipse in parts of the US in 2017. I know someone online who is planning to travel 150 miles or so with his kids to witness it.

The most Scotland got last week was 99% - In fact the only inhabited places where there was totality were the Faroe Islands and Svalbard.

You are correct... however, I am not going to travel to see it. I will wait for the one in 2024 that will be right over us. Smile
