She had a good voice.

I am so sad for her daughter.
I bought her WHITNEY album just 4 weeks ago. I loved her music in the 80's . So sorry she lost herself along the way.

I think she was the best pure singer in the business back then, when she was at the top of her game. It must've hurt her to know that she'd let it slip away.

As already said I am very sad but not shocked. It had to be drugs. Her poor daughter. I hope that piece of crap Bobby Brown is VERY sorry! What a powerful voice. I grew up with her music. I am a huge fan! This is one of my favorite songs by her. So powerful!

Totally agree....Whitney was a true original. Everyone tries to imitate her. She imitated no one. I was surprised to read that she was shunned by the black community for quite awhile, for going 'pop' and seemingly turning her back on her 'black roots'. She certainly paved the way....no one even thinks about that anymore....there are plenty of black artists in the pop industry.
I watched her '91 superbowl performance this morning....I had NO idea that was lipsynched! I can't imagine a single artist today pulling that off.
So judging from the TMZ report, ("By the time EMT got there, her body was already removed from the tub."), someone was with her. This sounds far more suspicious than where my head was going....I thought for sure this was an overdose. And I suppose it's possible that she was high on scrip drugs and drowned, but gosh, I wouldn't want to be the person who was with her.
Rhonda, I'm curious, what was she in the news for recently?

I think it was on The Insider or some show like that, and they were showing couples that were together.....it was kind of a Valentine's Day preview of happy couples. It showed how some denied they were a couple, but they really should've been and they showed her...now I am trying to think who it was Whitney was with.....she looked so happy with this man...and, no, it wasn't Bobby Brown......

Oh, I didn't know it was lipsynched either! But it's still one of the all-time best renditions. Here we go...
