| ...gave her birthday cake to police. Senior constable David Rixon died after he was shot in the chest and torso during a routine traffic stop in West Tamworth on Friday.
On Saturday the six-year-old woke to celebrate her birthday, but instead asked her mother to drive her to the police station so she could give officers her cake, Tamworth inspector Kylie Endemi told the Nothern Daily Leader.
"She carried the birthday cake in here and lifted it up onto the counter, which was taller than her and basically said 'the police need this more than me today and I want you to have it'," inspector Endemi said.
"It gets you a bit choked up and obviously their reaction was being completely overwhelmed by such a compassionate and caring act from such a little girl," she said.
Inspector Endemi said police have since been in contact with the girl's family to thank her. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8430783/six-year-old-girl-moves-police-to-tearsThat girl is just so sweet! | |

| THAT is the example we all need to learn from. What a generous heart! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |
