The only one I've ever kept is to not make any New Year's resolutions. LOL!

I don't make them at all. When I was sick, I learned quickly that you could only live one day at a time, just as God had intended for us to do, so making promises the first of the year to try and keep throughout the whole year, went by the wayside. If I do any planning, it is only for a week or so, not the full year......too much stress for a person to have..........No

I don't make them either because I neve stick to them. The only time I do something similar to that is during lent when I give something up. I usually give up sweets. It's hard, but I always stick to it. Also don't eat meat on Fridays during lent. That's pretty east. I don't eat fish though then.

I haven't made any in about 10 years - but my reasoning is different. Once my niece and nephews came along, and started growing . . . .I was too busy to keep resolutions! :Hahaha:

Cat fish......... :Hahaha: That reminds me.........

Krissy, when my nephew, Jeremiah was four, we sat down to eat, and he asked what was for supper. My Dad told him "Cat fish". Jeremiah's eyes grew HUGE, and his jaw dropped, and he refused to eat until we went and got his cat for him. :Hahaha: He wanted to be sure he wasn't about to eat kitty-kitty. :Hahaha: I'd forgotten about that........thank you for bringing it to my mind!

I like fish.

I don't like cat fish and I have tried it more than once.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

I never used to make resolutions, but the last several years I've made some and been pretty good about sticking to them to some degree. I try to use the fact that it's new year to motivate me to do what I planned (for example, to be more health-conscious this year), and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. :haha:

I have a few. I want to walk at least 5 days a week, a mile, which happens to be 10 times around our circle driveway, with my Black Lab, Moose.
I want to read my bible everyday, and read the whole thing this year, and also memorize more verses.
I want to be kinder, and more caring to all people, and write letters and email with my friends and family more.

That's mine so far. Thumbsup

PostSubject: Re: New Year Resolutions   New Year Resolutions EmptyTue Dec 30, 2008 11:25 pm

I've been working on mine all day, but here's my New Year Resolution List thus far:

1) Sleep during day, from now on reserve night time exclusively for partying.

2) Begin taking thirty seconds off of each work day, slowly increasing the increments so that no one at work notices, until I am only working 1 hour days with 8 hour pay.

3) Take a well-deserved two week vacation to Alaska and meet/befriend/name a wild bear.

4) Share many adventures with said bear.

5) Become friends with William H Macy.

6) Open a restaurant somewhere in Montana and eat free for the rest of my life.

7) Make it to 1000 posts here at the LHOTP forum.

1. Make it through the year without being Fifed. batEyes
2. Not murder, maim or otherwise harm one who shall remain nameless. Whistle (But most of you know who I mean.)
3. Use my pan a little less frequently, so that some of our more . . . . mischievous members won't lose any more brain cells. Frying pan
4. Have a prairie-pal dream at least once a week. grinsmiley

Okay.....I do have some serious goals. I'll post those later. grinsmiley

:Hahaha: Well...I don't usually keep ALL of my resolutions. And since #2 is rather important . . . I'd better focus on that. Which means that my pan will probably see just as much use next year as it did this year. grinsmiley
