That is lovely! It reminds me of how the Georgia mountains look in the Autumn!

I would love to have Autumn & Winter here in Miami! LOL It'll probably stay 90 degrees well into October, then, it may go down to 80ish. We have very limited "Winter" here...so when it goes down to 60 degrees, we FREEZE! LOL I know that's funny to a lo tof you, but hey, we're so used to the heat! So you can imagine how we feel on those "rare" occasions we hit the 30's or 40's! Personally, I LOVE IT! I love getting the chance to wear a jacket...and boots! I love boots! It's pretty much sandals practically all year here. Of course, we also get a lot of visitors from up north who LOVE coming to Miami during the Winter. Two years ago, I felt so bad for them...because they came down to Miami for warm weather, sun, beach, etc...and the temperature went crazy around here...and actually went down to the upper 20's! Needless to say, they were MAD! I would be too...but anyway, thank God, in typical Miami fashion, the temp went back to 80 in just a few days (crazy).
As for Autumn...not much luck with that here. I want to visit anywhere in New England at that time, as I hear it is absolutely breathtaking. I'm dying to see leaves turn colors. Here in Miami...GREEN...all year round. At least our temperature goes down, "slightly."
I've rambled enough! lol

I love autumn and winter because down here in Georgia we have such HUMID and hot summers. When the colder weather comes, the air feels so clear and crisp. It also get's me excited about the holidays!

Man, I miss Michigan. Tucson only has two seasons. Hot and not as hot. The cactus do not change color down here.

I love the Fall, it's been a humid summer in the northeast and I welcome the crispness and beauty of Fall. I don't like freezing, snowy days as long as we have it, but I do love the 4 seasons, Spring and Fall my favorites.

I have a friend who was born and raised here in the north, and now lives in Hawaii. He gets a kick out of seeing how the natives react to "cold" weather. He says when the temp dips below 80F, people put on their sweaters. Below 70, and out come the jackets! He said it's quite a surreal thing to see people wearing stocking caps in 68 degree weather. I guess when there's little variation in the temperature all year long, you feel each degree very profoundly.

That is so funny! Whenever someone says we might have snow flurries here, everyone reacts like it's going to be a blizzard or something!

It actually snowed in Miami ONE TIME. It was January 19, 1977. I was only 7 years old at the time, but I don't remember it. However, I've seen several pictures and old newspaper articles. It caused quite a commotion back then! The chances of that ever happening again...not likely! At least not in my lifetime! LOL If you google 'snow in Miami', must likely that date will even show up! In fact, it was 4 days after my 7th bday.

Rob, I love those Pure Michigan commercials!
I would love to take a fall color tour up North and into the Upper Peninsula. I've decided a couple of destination spots I have in the UP are Marquette and Copper Harbor. I've heard both are beautiful, and Marquette is an 'artsy' town with lots of culture. This would be such a fun fall trip to make.
Fall colors of Copper Harbor:
Julmer, I remember that terribly cold winter down South a couple years back. Brrr! I remember our retired friends who live in Tennesee during the winter time posted facebook pictures that consistently showed them shoveling snow! They should have just stayed in Michigan!
I am excited for fall, but I can wait for winter. Not that I hate winter, but I'm in no hurry. I just want a REAL fall this season...last year it was HOT all through September. and a lot of October. We got totally gipped! Fall is my favorite season.
Jacob, I have been to Mackinac Island only one time...Bill & I went for his brother's wedding. Wow, what a beautiful place to get married! We did the carriage tour of the island and it was just amazing...I can't wait to get back there!! I'll bet the island is gorgeous in the fall too.

Amy, that picture is so beautiful! The colors are fascinating! I know Fall would be my favorite season, if we actually had it here! LOL
The worst part was- about that horrible winter a couple of years ago...that here in Florida, particularly South Florida (where I'm at)...the people are not prepared for that! We're used to short sleeves, shorts, and sandals. We don't have the proper "winter" attire...just a few light sweaters and maybe a jacket. It was awful! I was one of the lucky ones who had winter attire because I visit NYC often during the Christmas season. Still, I looked funny being the only one wearing a coat...but at least it kept me warm!
