Yes, it's a shocker!

When it aired in the U.K. they had a warning. I didn't get that warning when I watched it online.

I only heard that there would be a big twist in the plot. Ya, sure was.

Oh my, I don't like the sound of that! 

Gosh, I didn't think they'd still be showing it on that site for free, but they are! I hope they continue to! I haven't watched episode 2 yet...going to do that while the kids are napping!

Amy, you can join the fb page Here and they post links to each episode after it has aired in the UK.  Then you can join the secret discussion page and chat about it.  There certainly a LOT of chatting going on about this new twist.

I hesitate to do that just yet, Marilyn, due to spoilers.  I'd rather wait until I've watched all of it first and then discuss it.  Once I've gotten through all of it I'll go back over to Doc & Ella's Downtown Abbey forum again to chat.  Do you still frequent that?  Don't forget though, we do have a DA spoiler thread that we can chat in.  If people aren't up to date on the series, then they can just avoid that thread and only use this one. That's what I do with the Survivor thread...I just avoid it like the plague until I've watched the current episode.

*edit*...Oh, I see you have written in it recently. I'll come on over to it once I'm done with episode 3. I'm starting it now!

It is a secret group so that none of the posts that you make end up on your wall for others who are not in the group to see.  If you post about the show, your neighbour down the street who hasn't seen the show won't see your posts.

There are 2 pages (weird I know and kinda confusing).  This page https://www.facebook.com/groups/362913753790743/ has the episodes listed in the files section.  And this page https://www.facebook.com/groups/428547040588880/ is the discussion page. This is the secret page.  I don't go to the discussion page until after I have watched the current episode.  That way I don't see anything until I've seen the show.  This is the reason why I am watching the show now and not waiting until Jan.  I can't just turn off a page, I'm addicted (thanks very much to all my friends here, lol)

I have been to the other Downton forum but haven't spent much time there.  I am not sure I remember my password!  Facebook keeps me busy enough.

The present Countess of Carnarvon was interviewed by Canadian radio and aired this morning.  She talks about her newest book about husband's grandmother Lady Catherine.  I must get this book.

I have read her first book about husband's great grandmother Lady Almina.  It was a really good book.  Lady Almina turned Highclere into a hospital during WW1 and her husband funded the expedition of Howard Carter when they found King Tut's tomb.  

Well, this stinks. The ustv.cc site only showed the first 3 episodes for free. We'll have to sign up ($12) if we want to see more. Ugh.

Oh, no. I just started watching them yesterday since everyone else had. I didn't want to be behind everyone again.

LOL, it's all good Marilyn...I sent out a request---they must have added me already!  Thanks for letting us know about this!!  I meant to come back here earlier to let you know that I'd signed up, but got too busy.  And even if you had added me accidently, I could never be mad at you!!   I just hope the episodes remain free on this fb page!!

It will remain free on this page. One of the members somehow provides the link each week. It is aired at 9pm UK time which is 4pm EST. It then takes a few hours for him to get the link up and going but it's always free, promise.

And in case anyone is worried about spoilers, I see that they put the 'files' link (to view the episode) at the top, so you won't get spoilers unless you scroll down. As Marilyn does, I'll just make sure I'm up to date on my episodes before scrolling.

If you want to discuss the episodes after you have seen them, you can go to the fb Downton Abbey Discussion Page  This is the place that you have to stay away from until you have viewed the show.  And trust me, there is a lot of conversation that flies on this page.

Yes, Amy, I'm on Facebook. I'll have to check it out another day. Kara's coming home tonight for fall break, so I'll be busy today making her birthday cake. I might not get a chance until next week, but I definitely want to keep up with the episodes with the rest of you guys.
