So, I need some gift suggestions for a guy, like what to get him. I don't have much money, but I would love to buy my boyfriend something. I am not sure what to get a guy though. I have never been in this position before. He has been such a sweetheart and has blessed me tremendously.Love  Thursday is his last full day of leave and then he heads back to where he is stationed on the 11th. I'd love to get him something at least....I feel bad only him buying me things....any suggestions? Remember, I am practically broke, so....Blue

Julia, take the picture in your avatar (or one of the two of you that you really like) and put it in a nice frame.  I know my boys always liked having pics of themselves with their girlfriends....in fact, they usually have a pic of them as their background on their iPhones......but this would be something he can see when he walks in his room....Frames can be found at Walmart for as little as $5. If you are 'crafty' you can make one.....Pinterest has all kinds of DIY frames to make......Thumbsup

Where is he headed back to? scratchead

That is a great idea! His Grandmother took this one and a few others with his iPhone, so I know he has this one. I believe I have a frame that I am not using and can give it to him. I will check this out. Smile

He will be headed back up to Fort Lewis in Washington State....WAY over on the other side of the United States from me. bawling

I love the picture idea too!  Good thinking Rhonda!  I would try to pick a couple-shot that's more close up on your face though, so he can really 'see' you.  He will be missing you terribly, I'm sure.

I have to share something funny though.  My 25th reunion was a couple of months ago, and believe it or not my hubby & I were sitting with my old boyfriend and his new wife, kind of shooting the breeze.  It was pretty comfortable and my old boyfriend had met my husband before, so it really wasn't all that awkward, and we only have good memories from our relationship.  Well, someone brought over a picture of my old boyfriend singing/playing the guitar at a school concert, and he said, "That sweatshirt was always my favorite.  You got it for me, remember Amy?"  Oh my gosh!  I was shocked!  I couldn't believe that he remembered that!  And actually, I had to really 'go back' and think about it.  But then it hit me.  It was an 'ironic' shirt, which were popular back then....you have to remember, in the 80's we wore weird clothes, lol.  But it said, "Psychotic University"...he had a dry humor kind of personality and it was just fitting for him somehow, and I guess he just loved that shirt!

So there ya go...whatever you decide to get for him, he will love it, because it came from you.loveheart   And it doesn't need to cost much either.Thumbsup

You might get hinged side-by-side frames and put a close-up pic of you in one and him in the other.

The picture idea is very good!
Another idea with a picture:
Where I come from it is not expensive to put a picture on a cup. Fill the cup with chocolat or something else he likes, wrap it nice and you'll have a lovely present.

Okay, time was so short that I was not able to do the picture thing. But I did have an idea. It's corny, I know, but he loved it. See, he ADORES my hair. He just loves it so much that I thought I would give him one of my hair ribbons or hair band. He liked the idea of the hair band so when he's alone he can wear it around his wrist. Kind of like having me there. It's so little compared to all the things he did and bought for me, but it's sentimental in our opinion. Smile

^That's sweet of you, giving your hair ribbon to him. When your in love, nothing seems corny. It's what accounts inside. What God has provided for you & your boyfriend. I like his idea, to wear it around his wrist.
