| Yeah Theses things can be bad. The hydro polls on our street are under ground. But the ones up the street are not. I think Toronto get it the worst. IT was mighty icy the other day. | Yes it has been interesting. We had no problems in Newmarket. Our power didn't go out at all but I work in Aurora and it was bad, the power is still out. At work our side of the street was on but the other side was out all the way down past the next village! We had everyone in town come in wanting coffee and breakfast. I think our supplies are going to run out because our truck won't be in til Friday. Power may not be back on until Wednesday. It's a mess! Today was the busiest day I have ever worked in 28 years of fast food service and tomorrow will likely be the same.
Krispy, where was that second picture taken?? | |

| I'm glad to hear you're safe, Krissy! We've never had major ice storms where I live, only snow storms, but I imagine that ice storms are scary! | |

| So glad you ladies are safe. Those pictures remind me of 2011, but at least it wasn't winter when that happened. The snow came and by the end of the week it was melting. | |

| Thanks! Yes ice storms really suck. It's so annoying bot having power in the winter. When it's dark and cold. I feel lucky to have powers. Still some homes are with out power. They do have warming places ppl can go to. It jst really stinks when it's Christmas time. “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables | |

| Guys, I need you to pray for my pastor and his family. They have been without power since Saturday. Church was cancelled on Sunday and tomorrow's Christmas Day service has already been cancelled. The pastor lives in the parsonage right next door to the church. There are 8 people in that house right now who are suffering. My pastor messaged me yesterday saying that he is getting tired. This dear family is from Portugal, this is only the second snowy Canadian Christmas that they have experienced and so they are feeling the cold much more than we would who have been in these conditions all our lives. Also with them in the house is a couple from Brazil who have just immigrated here and only arrived on Dec 14th! They really must be miserably cold!! I can't even imagine. I know that our church family have been taking care of our dear pastor and his family over this past week but really, we need their power to come back on so they can thaw out, get warm and get some rest. I feel so sorry for them. Our family is scheduled to have our annual family Christmas on Dec 26th in the church but right now just thinking about that seems selfish to me. Yes, I would be disappointed if we have to cancel it too but that is no sacrifice compared to what my dear friends have sacrificed. Please pray and thank you. (Now heading to post this in the prayers thread) | |

| Up by Frankenmuth MI. This pass Sunday, they had ice storms/snow. The power went off in that area. So, we left early so we wouldn't get stuck up there. On the highway, we saw tree branches broken by the heavy ice on them. Some of them in the streets of the highway. Time we came home. It was normal. Heard over 60,000 people with no power in MI. Have to wait after Christmas, get their electricity back on. | |

| That really stinks. I feel so sad for people who have zero electricity. But I guess the workers are doing there best. Some workers came from the states to help on fixing it. Whitby got there power back before we did. Workers from Belleville came to help Oshawa hydro fix the powers. “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. | hmm. People can't cook Christmas dinner with no powers. This should be common sence. People were using BBQs in the house. People should no that's not safe. “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables | |

| Hope things get better soon. Winter has been awful everywhere this year. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |
