Bunny Empty
PostSubject: Bunny   Bunny EmptyWed Sep 11, 2024 11:21 pm

I am currently watching the Christmas episode “Christmas at plum creek” . One of my absolute favorites ever! We see bunny in a few episodes, Nellie gets paralyzed, Nellie buys her, and Nellie and Willie get a thoroughbred to race bunny with, but is there an episode where Laura gets bunny?? Oh and the one where bunny runs through barbed wire with grandpa. I just don’t remember the episode where she somehow acquires such a gorgeous nag. $8 is pretty expensive because she gets the stove in on trade, so hopefully someone remembers, or maybe bunny just shows up without a backstory. I love me some bunny! lol

First off... Welcome

I *think* Bunny is introduced in the Pilot Movie (S1 E0), which doesn't get enough showing on TV as it should get since it has SO MUCH background information and history, closer to the book history. When the Ingalls are traveling across the country, Pa has to trade the horses out for different ones to get to where they are going, and the pair, Pat and Patty are the ones he gets, and Patty is pregnant...I *think* this is where Bunny is mentioned, not necessarily by name...just that Pat and Patty will have a foal.

"Christmas at Plum Creek" (S1 E15) is where Laura trades Bunny for the stove for Ma, and Nellie is cruel to her. "The Race" (S3 E3) is where Harriet buys the thoroughbred horse to race against Bunny...Harriet going for a test ride is the funniest part of the episode! "Journey in the Spring" (S3 E6 and 7) where Grandpa Ingalls comes to visit and stays for a bit is where Bunny goes through the fence and has to be put down. Grandpa kept contradicting what Charles was telling and teaching Laura and things got rather heated between them, and Laura got upset with Grandpa for not coming through for her and Bunny.

I hope this helps some. Feel free to use the search at the top of the page to find more information on what you are looking for. When you click on it, there is also an advanced search.
