| Absolutely Wonderful! "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

- And I hope you do give painting a try. I've seen some mini-sets of paints, both oil and acrylic, on clearance at Walmart and I've been so tempted to buy a set! But I don't know when I'd have the time to do it, and I don't want to spend the money and then have the paint go bad. You know?
Yep, that makes sense! You better make sure you have the time to devote to it before investing in it. Paints are NOT cheap, especially oils and acrylics! I love your latest "Carpenter" portrait. Simply beautiful!!

| Color is expensive no matter what form its in. Thats why I stick to pencil.
Lisa, you have such a calm and awesome result every time you draw. Its like looking into a telescope back in time . Great work...hope this is a winner!! That's why I love eBay. I've found some amazing deals there on Prismacolor colored pencils! (And I've been meaning to tell you....if you find Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils in your area (or better yet, check eBay), I think you'd LOVE them. They're graphite, and are the nicest pencils I've ever used! - Gin wrote:

Oh, thank you, Ginger! This one isn't going to be entered in competition this summer - maybe next year. It's in an exhibit right now. I was asked to display some of my pieces in the art department, so that's what I finished it in time for. It was a mix of graphite, carbon and just a little charcoal.

| Lisa, again you've created a wonder!
I've worked on an infant drawing before and its not the easiest thing to do. The skin tone is SO soft and different than even an older childs. THIS is the kind of photo that you want to draw that will totally drip emotion. You've done it again! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
