I can't believe I forgot to post this portrait. It's of Amy's parents, and it was done for their 50th anniversary.



Annnnnd....this is based on a photo that I saw. It reminded me so much of my Caleb and Oliveah when they were little! They were SUCH close little buddies! So I used the picture as a starting point, and "filled in" Caleb and Oliveah. It's my first attempt at painting, and a first attempt at an impressionist-type-style, and is done in pastels:

Thanks, Krissy! It took a couple of weeks to fully heal, but it's totally back to normal now!

These were some drawings that I hadn't added to this thread, but since I'm trying to stay awake to win an auction on eBay for my Dad, y'all are stuck with seeing them.

Il loved your animals sketches...because I love both, animals and drawins! You captured nicely their face's expressions. I speacially like the white hawk.

Well, I hope you do carve out more time because eventually it may very well PAY off!

If I was to try painting, I would like to attempt using acrylics. I know that is Jane Seymour's favorite medium, and when I read her book I became inspired. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive medium, so I haven't started collecting colors yet! I should just buy one at a time, so that I wouldn't feel it. Maybe someday I'll work up the nerve to try.
