Wow, it's been a long time since I posted a drawing! This one is rather unusual for me...And it's taken WEEKS...Between migraines, illness, and work, it just seemed like there was never an opportunity to work on it. Thank goodness the lady who hired me is so patient! She'd seen a painting of an artist's idea of what Jesus might have looked like, and she loved the painting - but she wanted me to do my own version of it in graphite...She asked me if I'd be willing, and I agreed to try...SO, here's the drawing that she's going to be getting:

I was telling Rob, I would LOVE to be able to go back in time to see what Jesus REALLY looked like. loveheart

Its a funny thing about Jesus, I think everybody has their own personal idea of what he looked like. I've seen drawings of him that I liked and drawings that I didn't like.

When I first looked at this Lisa, I didn't like it. But as I kept looking at it, I liked it more and more. And the reason is that it really captures the sweetness of what I think he was. And that Lisa, is the sign of one talented individual. You can see something very special in his eyes......

Bless Your Heart for doing it.....it is really quite extraordinary! And don't worry about going back in time to see him....Take comfort in the fact that one day you will............

I finally had a chance to talk with the woman who'd asked me to draw this, and I showed it to her...I was QUITE nervous, because as was mentioned, everyone has their own idea of what Jesus looked like - and even though she'd given me an image to work from, I still wasn't sure if it would be what she'd envisioned. She saw it today and she was THRILLED. Cloud 9

NOW to start on a portrait that should have been done last month. Life has such a way of messing with my drawing plans! Thanks for your encouragement and kind words, everyone!
