| Oh, this is cool. Here's the full audio version of Mockingbird on YouTube. It's read by Sissy Spacek. Mockingbird AudiobookThis is part 1 of 2. The second part is among the videos to the right. | |

| Not that this has anything to do with this, but Harper is such a favorite name now among little girl names. Harper Lee is the only person I think I know named that. Glad she is putting another novel out there....good for her. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| I was so excited when I heard this today! To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my all-time favorite books, and I can't wait to read the sequel, which is going to be titled "Go Set A Watchman." Now I just wish I didn't have to wait five months for the new book to be released. | |

| I listened to part of the first chapter and thought that Sissy Spacek made a really good "Scout voice." | |

| I heard about this recently. I've never read TKAM, but it's always one of those books that is on my TBR list. Might have to read it soon to gear up for this new book. | |

| Rob is right- the TKAM movie was excellent. I found a picture on Pinterest of Harper Lee on the set of the movie with Mary Badham, the actress who played Scout. I think it's neat to see pictures like this, of an author with the actor/actress who is portraying a beloved character that the author created. | |

| I love behind-the-scenes pictures like that! Traverse City, a town here in northern Michigan, holds an annual film festival. In 2011, they screened "Mockingbird," and one of the guests of honor was none other than Mary Badham. Here's an interview... Mary Badham interview | |

| I went to the bookstore yesterday to pick up my copy of Go Set a Watchman! I am about fifty pages into it so far. It is different from TKAM because it is told from the third person point of view, while TKAM was told in the first person POV. Jean Louise (Scout) also has a lot more attitude than she did in TKAM, though that can be amusing at times. I am looking forward to getting farther into GSAW. | |

| Go Set a Watchman newspaper articleThis is a link to the newspaper article I was interviewed for yesterday about the release of Go Set a Watchman. A reporter spoke to me when I went to the bookstore to pick up my copy of the book. My name is only mentioned at the end of the article, but I think this is the first time I've ever been interviewed by a reporter! | |

| I have TKAM on hold at the library. I should have ordered it a long time ago on Kindle before news of the new book came out. It would have been dirt cheap then. | |
